I know some love to think that just their faves are relevant, etc, but BIGBANG as a group and as soloists are literally in the TOP/LEGENDARY category
Like either look at the charts and their influence or stop embarrassing yourselves when almost no kpop idol (soloists) has songs as successful as them. And yes, they aren't the only ones successful, but the others's success never over shined them.

Top artists' collab with each other is nothing new. Ofc they see benefit in it business wise as well. But no one is putting any artist on gun hold to have a collab with them. They can simply refuse if they're not interested.
The outcry is expected. Both fandoms hate each other passionately. Either way, I hope we get another masterpiece like ENL from Taeyang.
