It’s another SMTOWN

winter album!

SM is back with another winter album, not surprising since the last one was so successful.

The new album, Winter Palace, will release on Dec. 26.

It’s unclear how many songs or the combination of artists, but all active groups have a cover version. (List is below in the next post.)

However, take this all with a grain of salt for now - last year there were versions for the groups and not all members appeared on songs beyond the group song “Hope.”

Registration information for different album versions:

2 versions of the main album plus group/artist-specific versions for:

• Boa
• Kangta
• TVXQ
• Super Junior
• Girls Generation (Taeyeon, Hyoyeon)
  • This is similar to last year, so it looks like no full group again, Sones.
• SHINee (Onew, Key, Minho)
  • This also is similar to last year.
• EXO
  • This is different from last year, when the group was treated like SNSD or SHINee so possible group song?
• Red Velvet
• NCT 127
• NCT Dream
• WayV
• NCT (Sungchan, Shotaro)
  • This is very different from last year. NCT was not broken out into sub-units but rather split into two version that combined groups: Daytime (Dream + WayV + SungTaro) and Nightime (NCT 127).
• Aespa
• DJs (Ginjo, Imlay, Raiden, I’d assume)

Hey all - since I’m already tracking the two NCT-related comebacks, just a head’s up, I started a thread with updates here around the smtown winter album if you want to follow/check in for updates.

Of course someone will post seperate threads when there are teasers and stuff but figured it would be helpful to have one location with all the deets too.

SM has cancelled the live audience pre-recording for nCT 127 for the Winter Palace promotions due to the Puma on-set accident. Members are ok with minor bruising but resting and recuperating.
