Thoughts on the LE Badge process

One thing that I am curious about is:
I get why individual badges require that every member meet the minimum sign ups. If you did, idk, 8 out of 10 members of a group, people would be asking where 9 and 10 are. (Even though they could have ponied up their akorns if they cared so much about those members in the first place...)
On the flip side, not every era suits every member equally well, and I've noticed that I can easily get people to sign up for one person in one comeback and then be begging to give people akorns to sign up for them in another one. And tbh, there are some MVs that have come out that I'd had to deliberately count the members because it's like the director hated one of the members or something, so I can get why people wouldn't want to pay 700 akorns for that badge (and I'd feel sorry for the Content Crew trying to cover up how much that person got screwed over).
Is there any potential for requiring something like, IDK, 70% of the members have to meet the minimum or something? I've been thinking this through as I've typed it out, so I may be kind of confusing.
I do want to say, on the whole, I really like this preorder system. I like paying up front and just getting my badges when they're released, without having to anxiously be online or trying to farm last minute. I like that it makes people be a bit more thoughtful in what they try to petition, rather than trying to get every bit of content into an LE badge. I like that that point makes it so there is room for smaller fandoms to petition badges, which in turn seems to get other people to sign up for MVs that they think were really cool, even if it's not their main fandom.
Hmm. I’m always torn on the minimum number on individuals myself because every NCT comeback the bank has to cover at least one two badges because we can’t make the total. And trust me as someone who makes the badges, I’ve had to scrimp and pull on scenes for some members that get no love (Jinni, why does NMIXX hate you? Seungmin bro, what went wrong in SKZ? Liz, who did you piss off in Ive?)
But I also see the opposite side of it. Without those mandatory minimums, we’d have 70 Jaehyun and Taeyong badges and no Johnny, Taeil or Mark, which doesn’t feel fair either. If I think about a group like aespa, poor Giselle might never get a badge.
I’m not sure of a good solution here.

Just reacting to this: I've been around akp long enough that it was legit a big reminder to me how long it's been given that SNSD couldn't even crack the top 6. I remember when these boards were dominated by SNSD vs. 2NE1 threads, and these days, SNSD didn't even try for individuals for the Forever 1 comeback.
And I agree broadly with your post: I think the other difficult thing is that most of the smaller fandoms here are made up of multi-fans (not counting the people who are all suddenly Nevies now that (G)I-DLE is slaying...
), not really a hardcore group of stans for just that one group the same way that there are people who like only EXO (or whatever) and no one else. So like you, I prioritize my faves and try to help out where I can, but back to: akorns are scarce and my faves aren't the largest fandoms so I often fund more than just badges for me too.Just to be broadly clear: I'm not really griping about the akorn thing. I understand running a site isn't free, LE badges take up server space, so there has to be an incentive for people to

But yeah, I loved being exol here cuz there were so many users who ulted exo. They were dedicated fans and active users (bside battles anyone?). While there are still enough of us to win bonuses, the difference in numbers and activity from just two years ago is drastic. Catering to just a few fandoms won't be good in the long run. We need to figure out how to get new users to come and stay.

I'm sitting here trying to think of a different solution... I wonder if something like:
- You collectively have to get at least [# of members] x 5 to sign up (so 7 members = 35 sign ups for individuals).
- Each member must have at least 3 sign ups.
So you'd get the same minimum number of akorns, every member would still get a badge, but if it's like pulling teeth to get enough interested in one person, you're not forcing people into a situation where someone has to bite the bullet and sign up for someone they don't want. Because I do think there will always be at least some people who want a full set, no matter how pathetic one idol's screentime is.
I mean, it doesn't solve the problem of the Content Crew trying to make 6 seconds of "I think that's her shadow there" into a badge, but it'd address some of the other issues.

as i stated i know it's impossible to limit the price/number for an le for smaller groups but it is EXPENSIVE that i had to cover 950 x 3 just to secure a trendz le and i'm 90% sure i'm not going to resell the other 2. I begged, i asked and no one else signed up.
that's a lot of akorns when we can't just earn a good amount back...but i feel like if i suggest lowering the limit for a small fandom then people in the bigger fandoms would complain but the site makes more from them because they order more and go for individual members etc. when all we want is a simple le badge.
I really wish there was a simpler solution for those of who stan the smaller groups to be able to get things without having to fork out a lot of akorns, or simply not try because we know it won't work. If i didn't have the akorns to cover the remaining two slots i would have canceled the Trendz LE signup...
Yes it's great that some people want to help out but the purpose is for fans of the group to get things...If people don't like the group and just signed up to help i feel like they are wasting their money.

I don't know what the issues are, but I'll say why i haven't bought all the badges that i express interest in.
1. Like you, I prioritize gif badges, especially since they have deadlines. There are many badges on my "will get around to buying eventually) list but I keep running into others that I'd rather have first.
2. I must have weird taste cuz the static badge contenders I like don't often win. I won't buy a badge that isn't my taste. Like I love Baekhyun so much. He's my ult. I didn't buy his static badge tho coz I think it's goofy lol.
3. The passport/head shot style static member badges just don't appeal to me much in general. I'd be more interested if the statics were more artistic or were more in concept
4. I'm poor
This!!!!!! I want to get all the member badges for Onf and Cravity but it's really hard grinding for 3250 akorns when I also have to worry about LEs too
