RE: Why are rookie boy groups this year(TNX, ATBO,…) so behind girl groups?

It's just a cycle: there will years where rookie bgs will override ggs, and years where ggs will override bgs.

Boygroups do need to become more versatile though, depsite liking a number of 4th gen bgs, many of them are becoming identical to one another, no matter if I like their songs or not

first of all, this year gg debuts were from big companies while bgs were from nugus or small companies. So no wonder bgs less successful. For the music TNX debut was disappointing for psy bg, ATBO released walmart NCT, their creative team isn't even subtle with the copying, I loved tempest debut but seeing their new comeback teasers, they seem to going for usual dark noise music now. I feel like even if boygroup try smth different people give no attention so they seem like copy what's popular which is noise music.

The boygroups debuted this year don't have any big company to back them up.

It's easy to compare them to girlgroups debuting this year/late last year with this advantage, but actually comparing them to groups like Lapillus, Classy, CSR, H1-Key etc, what would be more fair, they aren't doing bad lol.
