I liked TNX's debut, but if I had to speculate, part of it is that a lot of boy groups are going very trendy with their songs. Not just rookies, but there have been quite a few tracks that have released this year that you could have told me any number of groups released it, and I'd be like, yeah, that sounds legit. You compare that to, say, SKZ or NCT, and despite what criticisms people may have about their "noise" music, you know when it's them. The girl groups this year have more variation: Le Sserafim, N.Mixx, and New Jeans do not sound like each other. I'd never be like "Which group released Antifragile again?"
Just my guess tho.

Why are rookie boy groups this year(TNX, ATBO,…) so behind girl groups?
Every year, there’s always a hit boy group and girl group debut, like Txt-Itzy, Enhypen-Aespa. But this year, girl groups are so far ahead. What is the reason for the difference?
