  • Wow I’m genuinely surprised that digital charts we know is a strong forte for girl groups, rather has boy groups as the first two. Very interesting

True, but of the 64 groups mentioned in the original post, 38 (59.38%) of them are girl groups, while there are only 23 (35.94%) boy groups, and also 3 (4.69%) coed groups.

Dw. I saw that too. Still for something so dominated by girl groups, it’s not far fetched to expect a gg to be the best or at the top of the list. But to see two boy groups at the top of the list, that’s quite fascinating

You've inspired me to take a closer look at the data.

According to my calculations, each Girl Group has scored on average 292.79 points, while the corresponding figure for Boy Groups is 289.57 points. We see that the average point count per group between Girl Groups and Boy Groups is essentially identical.

However, if we take a look at standard deviation, for Girl Groups we have σGG = 270.26. But for Boy Groups, σBG = 403.39, which is considerably higher. Thus, it appears that BTS and Big Bang are true outliers among Boy Groups.

Also, I will note that Girl Groups have captured 11126 (61.58%) of the possible 18068 points allocated, while Boy Groups have garnered 6660 points (36.86%), and Coed Groups 282 points (1.56%).

  • I knew the top three before opening this thread. But I don't understand how rv is above snsd.

If I say anything incorrect please correct me and I will edit my comment accordingly. I'm also very sarcastic so please don't take anything I say to heart.
