Are you shocked how much NewJeans is pushed in fashion, compared to other Hybe groups?

  • Hybe groups mostly don’t touch fashion seriously but NewJeans already book with big brands like Gucci, Dior a few months in debut, and already do solo covers and solo appearances for other brands. Min Heejin previous groups at SM like Red Velvet and fx never care about fashion too. Are you surprised seeing NewJeans push so hard for fashion?

  • Following the bp formula. Get your girls in fashion asap (expect make music too!)

  • they are from different companies within hybe so the strategies will be different. how many times do we have to repeat this?

min hee jin have years in the industry to build good connections plus new jeans's debut smashed harder than any other hybe groups. why are we acting surprised if they're booked and busy?

  • because they have captured a younger female fanbase like no other (while also being girls themselves) and those are the target demographic for these brands. if you can reach that demographic and influence their fashion, makeup, and music then you're set to succeed

  • They're desperate for their own it girl.

  • Only bts isn't pushed in fashion field, yeonjun is getting fashion gigs every month, Lesserafim have fashion schedules as solos/subunits and as a group.

  • Curious if the fans can actually afford those brands? At their age? (presuming they're mostly young). I don't even know if BP fans can afford those stuff endorsed by their faves

Exactly, idk what OP is talking about.

Literally the most recent is Yeonjun being sponsored by GUCCI to wear a suit that didn't even come out yet. They had him wear it as airport fashion, and he kept it on all the way till he got to Chile for Music Bank.

Even his Instagram is fashion galore💀 http://www.instagram.com/yawnzzn

He's in different pop up events, just did a exclusive GQ shoot for Burberry 4-5 weeks ago. And Converse posting him on their Instagram story with him wearing their shoes.

He was even on Burberrys Instagram story as well, since they send him a lot of stuff to post

So yeah he's the last one that should be mentioned here lls

  • Wut? This has been the norm though. Idk how long you’ve been a kpop fan. If you followed f(x), they also attended pop up events during their active years as a group especially individuals like Krystal and Sulli.

But fashion being pushed so hardly in koop idols, specially indivually is smith recent. Why u think BP haters called them models and now everybody 4th gen idol and their dogs gets a BA deal at the millisecond they debut

Bp are called models because their model work is far bigger than their idol work, for every 1 album they do like 100 fashion gigs not because they are the first one doing fashion

Fashion is and always been a big part of kpop, in Korea and outside, before and after BP.

  • Idols being in fashion has been going on for years, BP literally picked it up themselves from their seniors.

BP get called out for their fashion focus because they barely have any music.

  • Curious if the fans can actually afford those brands? At their age? (presuming they're mostly young). I don't even know if BP fans can afford those stuff endorsed by their faves

some absolutely can and those that can’t will promote the brand via word of mouth

  • Some fans see how bts works and think Hybe has same treatment/management for their every group like I remember sakura fans worrying about Lesserafim not getting any solo gigs after debut now look at them doing fine with their solos gigs. Actually I don't follow txt but I saw some moas complaining about yeonjun being pushed way too much in fashion and that's why I was confused about this post.

Yeah ive heard about the Yeonjun thing too.

If im not mistaken, ive seen some of the TXT fans who defend yeonjun, show pics that showed the brands willingly wanting Yeonjun and wanting him to model or MC.

And in MY personal opinion, he got the social media presence online. Plus he look like a good model to me🤷‍♀️

  • Yes but what Yeonjun is doing seems standard for most Kpop idols. Every idols post a few ads on Instagram, show up to popups. But NewJeans secure the bigger jobs. Like why have no one in 4th gen become ambassador for Gucci but Hanni can do it 2 months after debut? Not to mention all members of NewJeans have fashion jobs. Hyein the youngest appear on Vogue cover sponsored by Louis Vuitton but where are the magazine covers for Eunchae and Huening Kai? Why can NewJeans already represent Dior, LV, Gucci, all the most expensive brands yet Kazuha is modeling for Etude House, obviously a smaller brand? Im just saying NewJeans definitely push harder into fashion than current 4th gen groups, who just do pretty standard stuff.

GD? CL? Suzy? Kai? Yoona? Jessica? Irene? Krystal? Sulli? YG and SM have done it for years lol HYBE is new and following (only BTS were doing group activities, more profitable for them to do group cfs). I hope ridiculous JYP follows the other big companies too and promote their idols individually but don’t have hopes bc that company is good at stifling their idols. BP are called that because they hardly release music but imo there’s nothing wrong with doing modeling gigs, money is money. Unless they complain themselves, I’d assume they are satisfied.

  • I don’t get why some blinks have to make everything that girl groups do about BP lmao. “Aespa at Coachella!!! Following BP!!!, Same outfits!!! Following BP!!!” etc etc etc. Similar to armies, top groups always act like this. Next will probably be Stray Kids and IVE fans! Whatever helps you guys sleep at night I guess?
