Some of you are really treating this as some kind of Narnia, that you have to leave some day to do the "real life" and announcing your retirement and shit.
Maybe just don't overuse it? Do your life stuff and occasionally login to see what's up? Why does it have to be either or?
I 've been on AKP for years, with multiple hiatuses that lasted sometimes months, sometimes years. I never felt like I've been spending my time here in expense of something. I login whenever I want, spend as much time as I need and then log off.
