A lot of kpop stans say they have been bullied for liking K-pop and such. Is it really that hard to be a Kpop stan in this day and age?
Is it hard being a K-pop stan?

my friends just think its weird
and they laugh at me sometimes
-
not really
I don't think people really give a shit what I listen to
-
nope
as you grow older people tend to not give a crap
-
it's embarrassing
i never tell anyone i like kpop. honestly most kpop fans (like on twitter) are SO embarassing and everyone assumes kpop fans act like that. so it's better to keep my hobby a secret

for me it is. my family are poc (my dad is Mexician an my mom is Black) so they always ask why i don't listen to my own culture and stuff like that. The kids at school aren't any much better either. I'm used to it by now but it's mad annoying.

Irl it don't look like I listen to kpop, so when I tell people they end up just surprised, but I know that's not the case for everyone

Lol back then I didn't post kpop a lot cause I was scared people were gonna judge me or avoid me.
Which probably happen.
But I post kpop time to time on my instagram story
-
not for me
a lot of my classmates are kpop stans too lmao

I haven’t been bullied per se, but I have had some strange reactions from people when I tell them I’m into K pop or get them to listen to a song. They think it’s strange to see someone my age into that kind of music especially when you can’t in the lyrics. Yes, it is hard to be a K pop stan and that’s why I’m getting out of it.

Nope for me.

When you get even older (like me), you’ll just have to explain what Kpop is; after a certain point, no one shames you for your musical taste.

I do have to explain what it is, they just don’t have a clue and I don’t think I’l’l still be listening to K pop before my 50’s are out and if I am definitely won’t be advertising it.
