Maybe that was the case, though they had announced when Sunghoon could not fly with them during kcon because of a conflict on schedule and when Sunoo couldn't attend because he was sick. Maybe it was like what the poster above stated maybe he just had a problem with his passport.

NCT Dream's Jaemin, if i remember well he disappeared from the group one day and SM didn't bother to announce until 1 month later and they only made a statement months later when Dream was supposed to have a comeback and he wasn't included and never mentioned him again until he appeared after 1 year and half in NCT 2018 comeback randomly, fans even though he left, he was in the group for a whole minute in 2016 and never heard of him until 2018, SM never bother to update his status in the group
