To be fair it is possible that without the Scandal and huge over reaction to it, Lesserafim would have been comparable to both of those

But we will never know for sure

IMO it's their fresh music style and concept. So many new GGs are on the girl and teen crush bandwagon that IVE's high teen concept with pop songs and NJ throwback rnb and hip hop concept and music is really appealing and different. Plus for NJs their debut promo strategy is one of the best I've ever seen so it's nice to see all that effort get rewarded

LSF also has a fresh style and sound but the scandal held them back, but they've not taken any big damage from it and can easily get an even bigger hit next comeback with another good song

Lesserafim had a massive scandal and still do relativly well.

Without that hybe and izone connection they would have been chancelled.

Aespa and itzy also do well.

Nmixx had bad luck with their debute song but still gain a lager fandom than all groups from smaller companies, except maybe loona.

If you didnt expected ive and newjeans doing so well you must be new to Kpop. 😂

knets do not care about the newjeans scandal. they accused international fans of exaggerating it until ador shot themselves by stating it was translation issues when it’s public knowledge the song was not written by koreans and there was nowhere to hide but even then this is still only a “scandal” among blogs

LSF had the opposite reaction (as typical with bullying scandals) where knets invested mass amounts of negative media attention that hit various news outlets and turned into a national issue

not comparable by any means and definitely leaves a different impact on their local performance

I dont think they are the main audience Kpop try to apeal too.

Kpop was allways obsessed with youth. So this happen all the time.

Lesserafim could be more popular if Blue Flame was the title track, a lot of people say Fearless is boring, I like the song but there's nothing special about it

I think maybe for LSFM they've only had one mini album release - their debut and it did fairly well??? no? I guess their cb will see if the public likes them or not
