They had competition but you got the competitors wrong. BTS was already leading the K wave in the time line you mentioned leaving those competitors behind. I mean you are talking about the time BTS released LY series. How were they on par with the groups u mentioned ? Before 2017? I would have agreed, even then it was only EXO, none of the other groups u mentioned
