    Relax omg. I speak Arabic and Saudi twt is the biggest Arabic speaking twt. And I remember the small clip they were doing fanservice nothing serious but the country is extremely religious and it got posted by big accounts and they started complaining about the effect of kpop on Muslim youth an blah blah blah. I mentioned it bc if bp or anyother gg comes it will probably be a big deal and there will be backlash but the government doesn’t care they invited nicki to preform lol.


    Also I fought with kpop fans who talk about Saudi policis while supportIng their groups achievements in China when ccp is horrible.

    Can you find the clip in question? That would help prove your claim that it happened at their Saudi concert. I am wondering though if the clip circulating is of some other concert.

    I'm thinking the point is that there are many other places where female rights are not at such an issue? I think the other side of the argument is that it is considered an honor to be asked by the government itself. Since many of the rights Saudi women have gained came pretty recently, this might help promote the idea that Saudi is modernizing. It is still a country with a recent history of abuses towards women though. I personally would not want them to go for that reason alone. Better safe than sorry.

    That law was abolished in 2019, but yea, still so recent and with such a long history that I'm sure not all Saudi citizens follow it.

    But I’m not claiming it happened there I’m saying the tag was made of the group kissing on stage.and ppl were furious and hating on kpop and bringing groups to Saudi. It wasn’t even about bts it was about Islamic morals vs kpop. I only mentioned bc that was the only reaction to kpop in Saudi that I’ve heard of..

    Well I could definitely see that happening. Even here in America they call kpop gay because of skinship. Imagine the feeling about that in a place like Saudi Arabia. :pepe-back-away:

    And antis spread clips from other concerts too, did you realise that? BTS were exceptionally mindful of the culture and their whole performance was toned down. They received training and instructions before doing the concert.

    If you didn’t watch the concert, I would recommend not openly claiming that “BTS got hate because two members tried to kiss, lmao” as if it’s a fact which is what you did in your first post. When that is not what happened. I reccomend double check your statements before posting them instead of basing it on what stan Twitter says.

    don't Saudi have the guardianship law that's why a lot of women ran away away from the country to find asylum in Western countries? Like if anyone leaves the country they might need the permission of their fathers. Or maybe I'm out of loop and the law has been abolished.

    BP not having a concert there won't change a thing about the country's politics. BP having a concert won't change a thing about the country's politics. The only difference is that blinks from Saudi Arabia would be happy to see the girls.


    If there is any concern about the girls' safety then it's different, but some conservative groups being pissed shouldn't be an issue.
