The kpop industry is actively seeking to export their product to other markets. That's the whole reason the hire chinese idols, sea idols, japanese idols etc. SM is doing a Hollywood unit. Black Swan just brought on idols from Brazil and India. I don't think this question is out of line. It's not like the op is asking when a non Korean will make it into the kdrama industry or bollywood. Kpop is branching out themselves. We can wonder how far that branching out will go. Your extreme reaction to this innocuous question calling US people trash is really strange.

By 2025, the start of the 5th generation of Kpop, we will have the first non Asian superstar of Kpop. I think it will most likely be a full white/Latino idol that will breakthrough but it's definitely possible for the superstar to be black.

Most popular group in the world : BTS. How many foreign member ? 0. Biggest sucess in Kpop ? Gangnam style made by a korean. Most of people don't care about country or skin color, if you're good you're good that's all.
I just don't like that we put skin color at the center of everything there are several billion of us on this planet, of different skin colors, there are good and bad people everywhere, talents everywhere. So yes maybe in some months or years we'll have someone with a black skin being in a idol group of huge company but I hope this idol will be there for his talent, and not just to sell albums more easily.
Then we have to stop all these futile debates, will there be black, white idols... It already exists. There have been plenty of them in the USA and Europe. We see less of them in Kpop groups because the population in Korea is mainly Asian. With the opening of auditions internationally, I think we will have more diversity in the future.

I'm more cynical I guess. I already see these decisions being made on both sides of the equation. Kpop companies weigh having Korean vs foreign idols. They look at the proportion. They look at where they come from. They look at their language skills. And yes, they look at their skin tone. Kpop designs their groups to appeal to the demographics they are seeking. Let's not delude ourselves into thinking that kpop companies solely choose their idols based on talent. They definitely pick them based on how well they will sell, whether that means prioritizing looks or dance skills over vocal or whether that means hiring one idol or another because they speak english better. In many cases, foreign idols won't be picked up, no matter their talent, if the company doesn't think they will sell.
On the flipside, we see some of these decisions happening elsewhere too. There are U.S movies that have added Chinese characters or situations that show China favorably because they want to appeal to the strong Chinese market.
These decisions have always been and will always be driven by dollar signs.

The US/West has a history with Blacks and there is a narrative need to make some special space for the Blacks due to the history.
But there is no reason other cultures should participate in that.
Of what relevance are Blacks to Koreans?
Weird.
Kpop companies like any other corporate entity will do whatever is needed for the market.
If they think it will help sell in the US, they would. But there is a higher probability that having Blacks will actually reduce the novelty factor of an Asian act in the US, where Black entertainers are quite common.
And I don't think Africa is any attractive as a market.
And in Korea, there might not be such a demand for diversity as a novelty.
Nugu agencies desparate for any attention might do such things, than the big ones.

Kpop has no cultural need to include Black diversity;
And there doesn't seem to be any market advantage either.
So it is doubtful whether the big brands will debut a Black member.. unless say the Black candidate already has existing fame in say the US, then there is a possibility.
