Only Kpop fans are to blame for Minor in Kpop not agency....

  • I have nothing against NewJeans they seems talented and young girls with a bright future

but they are a good example of why Kpop agency will never stop debuting minor

because when you see kpop fans complaining about kpop agency debuting minor, and saying that they should let this kids enjoy their teenage in contrary of putting them to work and prevent them from living the life of any teenager and how bad agency are to do this, and how they'll never stan such young people to show they are against this

But then you see the same people going in mass purchasing their album, hyping the kids visual, hyping the groups etc....

nobody should be surprise that kpop agency prefer to debut minor considering that Kpop fans doesn't even give a f*** if this idol are minor or major and hype them as much than any other idol who's not underage

+ teenager are more easy to manipulate because they passed years in the agency dungeon so they can influence more easily the way they think and they also have a longer existence because they debut earlier

Agency only see advantages in debuting minor in kpop

and kpop fans who act like they are concern but then no longer care are the real problem, it's not by showing fake concern about minor in kpop on akp and twitter that the system will change if kpop fans are ready to stan any underage kpop groups

    actions matter more than talk

  • Kpop fan share in the blame, the agencies are still to blame as well. Just because something is popular doesn't mean you are no longer responsible for the reprecussions if you decide to do it.

    kpop agency are company

company doesn't release a product unless there's some demand because they want some profit

they would never release a product if there was no demand because it would be a big loss for them

so if there was no demand from kpop fans for minor in kpop or wouldn't show interest in minor in kpop groups

trust me no kpop agency would debut a minor, because they would loss to much money on training someone, paying for their makeup outfit, etc... if kpop fans practically boycott these idols because they don't want minor in kpop

so yeah most of the blame go to kpop fans for showing to kpop agency that they don't care if the idol theyr debut are underage or not

  • It is really strange to me that there have been underage idols for so long but people draw the line now that NewJeans has underage members.

In any case, yes. It is the kpop mentality, more prominent in gg stans, that want fresh faces all the time. Moreover, ggs tend to have a shorter 'career life' because fans tend to move on when they get older. It is sad but this has been the reality for quite some time.

At the same time, I don't think it is just the company's or the fans' fault. Those kids are there because their parents permitted them to be there. They debuted after their parents gave their permission. And with kpop being a thing for so long, everyone involved knows the harsh realities of idol life. But those kids chose to be there and their parents let them be there. No one was forced.

Another thing to consider is the fact that despite idols debuting after 18, they spent at least a year or two of hard training so they lost their teenage years. So, it is wrong any way you look at it.

  • no

its only the older fans complaining

i'm sure a lot of teens relate to them and like them

    Disagree

maybe it's only kpop fans who are older than them who complain

but let's be honest the older kpop fans are what really matter in kpop ?

Who buy Album ? the older kpop fans because teens don't have the money to do it or not all parents wants to buy for them

Who go to concert ? same answer than the first one

teen kpop fans are mostly useful for music platform streaming that's all and social media

  • companies are still to blame majorly

There are ways for minors to debut and promote in safe manners, but companies push them to work more than what full time adult jobs require per week.

  • There are people at those companies that have the ability to make these decisions. And you should read again, we are not talking about about most of the blame, the TC is talking about the agencies being absolutely blameless in the matter all together. Even though these underage idols get revealed to the public AFTER being signed by the agencies. Surely when SM signed a contract with BoA at 13 in 2000, they were the ones that threw the first stone here.
