IVE is on a huge MOMENTUM and their debut age is a good thing

  • Their age has nothing to do with it. Wonyoung didn't become huge because she's 16 or 17, she got big because she's Wonyoung. The same goes for IVE as a group. They blew up because their songs did well. This obsession with young girls in the entertainment industry and how they have "appeal" needs to stop

    preach

  • I do think their age plays a role, but not in the way some might assume.

Idk if you guys are aware, but IVE is really, really popular amongst elementary school students and young teens. If I’m not mistaken, they make up a good portion of the fandom.

And I do think that their age is an important factor in this. Them being young and this close in age allows them to be more relatable towards their target audience:

Young people who eat up their chaebol concept and want to copy their style

  • If anything, it makes me worried. There are creepy people out there. Not only that, but she's so young and being given a spotlight and busy schedule. Maybe I'm overreacting/overthinking it, but it is worrisome to me.

I think with leeseo is fine but I’m worried about WY, her schedules are really tight, whenever she does something she get dragged for doing her job. Like she has been hated since she’s 14. And doesn’t help since she’s the face of the group.

Yeah, 14 is way too young to be put into something like this imo. I hope she's being taken care of as best as possible but... there's still so much she will have to put up with.

  • Don’t really see how them being very young is an advantage like that though

it is advantageous in terms of longevity

what I mean by that as I previously said is female idols (rightly or not) historically have had a "expiry date"

by that I mean there aren't many GG who renew after 1st contract period

there's less whose ALL members renew

there's even less where the members renew and then promote

and to my knowledge it's a single unicorn where the members renew and promote successfully...

in WY's case I said if she debuted in izone as a permanent group then she'd still be younger when her contract finishes than the likes of Jisoo or Irene when they debuted...

that's effectively an entire career's worth of earnings

  • and being young, means you get the chance to be success earlier than the normal average.
I once saw a video where a dancer reacting to ive performance, and then they shooked because Leeseo was still young. One of them then said, If Leeseo work hard in just 10 years, she would still have the age of 25.
That means she still considered young, and she got 10 years of work experience.

  • yes younger meaning more younger fans to relate to them and grow old with them making them have more longevity
