Why does SM still favor Karina?

    All I remember from both the LTS music video and SMCU Ep. 2 is seeing her face lol


    I went back and watched the music video again and Karina has by far the most screen time while Giselle is basically a cameo


    SM picks their one to push in every group pre-debut and obviously Karina was their choice in Aespa given the BM teaser is literally just her. But it's interesting to me that they've continued to favor her when Winter is definitely bigger in Korea and Japan and Ningning seems to make the most noise out of the four in the West. Perhaps it is because her Chinese bar buys the most and they want to maintain her selling power?

    I am not aespa fan but my eyes go to karina first whenever I watch aespa content. I think people might prefer other members after getting to know aespa more. But karina is the one who makes people notice aespa. This is just my observation. I don't mean to disrespect anyone. Sorry if I offended you.

    SM does this all the time it’s not a surprise for us who like sm groups. In nct 127 taeyong is favored a lot when jaehyun is right there and eclipse him in popularity without doing much!?

The only reason why people like Jennie are thriving is because she has a cute face and her group is extremely popular internationally so women are still worshipping her because they believe international people find her pretty that means her face is good to copy .one of the reasons jang won young is eating her up , Wonyoung is more of a standard beauty

    She's the face of the group and center of aespa, bring the most money and attrack people simple, also she's popular in both Asia and in the West, she the most popular or onethe most popular member in aespa whatever you want or not. She won't go anywhere, sorry you will have to see her alot in the futur too.

    She was pushed before debut but i think it's fine with her screen time cuz she barely gets any singing lines. Then in Next Level NingNing was pushed and she actually had the most lines and screen time, she also had a special scene and if we take into account that Karina get the same line "Next Level"x4 even if she was introduced as a singer, she didn't sing at all. Spotlight was not on her but she still gained popularity thanks to her hair choreography, Bola Rebola cover, teasers, behind the scenes and that's it. Like, it's not like sm didn't give NingNing a chance, Karina just gained popularity on her own. Then Forever and Winter had the most lines and screen time, same in the Savage era. Seeing that Giselle is not on the same level of talent and visual as the others, sm is not about to push her right now, but they can do it in the future when she gets better. Now it's time for Karina era again and then there will be NingNing and Winter. Winter gained popularity because SM pushed her in Savage era too. As you can see now 4th generation is stronger, we have groups like Ive and SM has to use Karina, who is the most marketable again, to take aespa's position higher. Even in yesterday's showcase, karina gained the most fans and was the most praised with the most tweets and searches. She's simply the best choice. When other girls get a chance for their individual stuff, Karina is only used for the sake of the group. They do not treat her as an artist, but as a tool to expand the group. what's fun about that? She doesn't get the best outfits, she doesn't get the best hairstyles, she doesn't get the most lines. it's not favoritism like Jennie, Wonyo or Suzy.

    Wth??seolhyun is popular with men because of her body and karina has a pretty face. If it's only because of boobs then why aren't other kpop idols with bigger boobs more popular than her?
