One of my favourite girl groups among those who are actually active even though I don't know much about them aside from their songs, some of which I like. YooA is my bias by the way.

It might be just me but I see that the position, situation and roles of BTS members in their group are similar to that of f(x). The counterparts I have between the 2 groups go as:
- Amber: RM (Main rapper/English speaker)
- Luna: J-Hope (The 'vitamin' and one of the best dancers of their groups. Often overshadowed by the rest of the group)
- Sulli: V (Visual and 2nd youngest member)
- Krystal: Jungkook (The centre, visual and maknae. Both even have 'Jung' in their Korean name as Krystal's Korean name is Soojung)
As for the leftover BTS members, Jimin can be "Krystal" while Suga can be "Amber".

For me, it's been safe to say that for a while now. Personally, I am not a huge fan of stanning companies (this goes for things outside of K-pop too like smartphones) as I believe that the record label a group is under should not be a deciding factor on whether or not I'm a fan

As a group, I'd say Miss A is more forgotten since I still see people praise f(x) and current idols cover their songs more so than I see with Miss A. Individually, Miss's A Suzy was (and still is) more popular than any f(x) member but the least popular member in f(x) (Luna) is more popular than any Miss A member who is not Suzy.
The thing about Miss A was that Suzy was way more popular than the other members. In fact, the group was so infamous for it's unbalanced popularity that k-pop fans use the term "Miss A situation" to describe when one member is significantly more popular than the rest of the group. Meanwhile, f(x) seems to have a "reverse Miss A situation" where Luna is significantly less popular than the rest of f(x). This can be seen on Instagram where she has the least followers among f(x) members at 1.56 million which is less than half of 2nd least followers in f(x) (Victoria at 3.30 million followers).
Edit: I answered the opposite question so I fixed it

In association football/soccer (and other sports i guess), a plastic fan is a sports fan who supports a certain team just because of their glory. Plastic fans will usually have little to no knowledge of their preferred club, and will get overly defensive when you point out their lack of it. Another term for that type of fan is "glory hunter", as they only care about a team if the team has glory.

This led me to wonder are plastic fans a thing in k-pop? If so, which k-pop group (or individual member of a group) or artists have the most plastic fans?

- F(x), while not officially 'disbanded', has been on hiatus since November 2016 (over 5 years now), save for a performance at SM Town Tokyo in Aug 2019. Their last official comeback (4 Walls) is now closer to their debut date (6 years, 1 month, 23 days) than it is to the present day (6 years, 4 months, 23 days).
- After School has been 'on hiatus' since June 2013 though subunit Orange Caramel would have a comeback in 2014. However, the group has not officially disbanded

For those who don't know a 'Miss A situation' is when one member is significantly more popular than the rest. This is named after them because Suzy overshadowed the rest of Miss A. And this takes me to Got7, where I thought that Jackson would overshadow the rest of the Got7, at least in the western markets. Starting in the late 2010's, I was seeing that Jackson was going to various Western shows and YT channels by himself and I was hear some buzz around him on Twitter while not hearing as much buzz on the others. Additionally, I heard a few of his solo songs on my local hit radio station but have yet to hear a Got7 song on the same stations.
But today, while Jackson is the most followed Got7 member on Instagram (and most followed male idol not in BTS by extension), I don't see a huge gap between Jackson and the others. He doesn't even have the most Twitter followers among Got7 members (Bambam and Mark both have more). To be fair though, I am horrible at perceiving popularity of groups and individual idols relative to others and all what I based my predictions then were based entirely from experience.
This leads me to ask, did anyone else think that Jackson was going to overshadow Got7 (at least in the west and Greater China)?

The more I look into it, the more I realise that international politics is basically high school drama but with bigger weapons.

OP here, first of all I would like to thank you all for replying to my topic. Secondly, I'd like to say that I am surprised by many of the answers as I'd thought that more people would answer in the 0-5 years range. The amount of people who kept the same ult for 10 or more years (21% of votes) stood out to me.
Based on the current votes so far, the average amount of years voters in the poll keep the same ult is 5.64 years though it could be more since I counted 10+ years as 10 years and split the options that had 2 years together into two equal parts (ex: 12 votes for 4-5 years so 6 votes each for 4 years and 5 years ).
Based on when the poll looked like this
