Genuine question, is Somi fluent in English? Because it was a poor interview, it really lacked fluidity and some of her words were not structured well. I’m guessing she must have been extremely nervous, when she was reading off the cards she was fine but otherwise really awkward interview, thank god for Margot….
I believe she is as her father is American (I think), but from what I heard, it might be a case of not having used it actively for some time. If she's been mostly communicating in Korean for the last year or two, English can quickly become more awkward and harder to use. I noticed that myself when I stopped using oral English at 17 and picking it up again at 21. To me, I sounded SO bad and like I had more of an accent compared to before.

I won't deny that Taeyeon is very likely to have had procedures done (what kinds, I have no clue). We also need to remember that she debuted 16 years ago. She was 18. I'm not saying it's all age, but there are some ways where she still looks incredibly similar to her younger self. There is also makeup to consider. These factors combined (procedures, age, makeup) can change a lot about a person.

English isn't my native language, but I use it a lot in my daily life. Queencard doesn't bother me at all because they're not explicit nor filled to the brim with curse words, so I either groove along to what I get or I simply ignore the lyrics in favor of the beat and the good vibes. I don't listen to Kpop to hear great English, I listen to it because my ears and my brain like it a ton, and I will always go for music that makes me wanna dance.

NGL i was all set to call Swan "mid" with her vocals, i dont remember her standing out during her group songs. Maybe a great technical singer but with generic tone/color that you find in 90 percent of GG vocals.
But boy oh boy, she proved me wrong. Not only is the song a decent bop, but her vocals are definitely superior. It has a sharp edge to it that i really like.
If you're curious about Swan's vocals, you should watch some of her covers from her predebut Practice 365 days.
She is definitely the best along with Goeun, but their strengths are in different places. I think most of Purple Kiss's title tracks aren't the most suited for vocal flexing.

She left her company last year after her contract ended, and I don't suppose it wouldn't be too extreme for her to use that time to rest, gather her connections and find a new agency or make her own for her return. I hope she's well.

Am I too old to be able to see the edits? Wtf gen z, those pics look all same to me.
You can see proof of the editing in the shape of her phone, which is more round on the left side. I can imagine that she used some sort of liquifying tool (which is used to smoothly manipulate the shape within the photo). I'm not the most familiar with Winter, but compared to the journalist's photo, it seems like she might've used it to bring in her jawline a tiny bit? (It's a slight bit softer/wider in the journalist's photo compared to her own).
Edit: Upon closer inspection, she might've used it on her neck? I'm not too sure.
Edit 2: I honestly do not think Winter needs any sort of photo manipulation. She's a gorgeous girl, but we are unfortunately trapped in a world of social media and an unrealistic standard of perfection.

I was pleasantly listening to this song, banging my head a bit to the chorus, and then THE OUTRO HITS ME like a wave of absolute auditory delight. I got CHILLS.
Absolutely a bop. I'm on vacation, and now I get to spend it with sunny weather and a brand new Dreamcatcher album.

Andrea is hilarious.

Yeah, I always do harsh makeup for id photos too because that shows up the best
It's only good for the stage
Yeah, I used to do theater, and I had to wear such dark foundation because my skin looked like literal snow under the stage lights. I could make Shuhua and Dahyun (two notably pale idols) look like they'd been in the sun by comparison

I've been a Neverland from their debut, but I find this viewpoint kind of disrespectful, honestly. There have been plenty of groups outside of (G)I-DLE and the big four companies who have had organic growth and success, both in the past and from now on. Have they become as big as (G)I-DLE? No, but that doesn't discount their efforts and their success and their lasting effect on Kpop.

This makes sense, honestly. I remember I had to get my passport done, and I wanted to make the picture right since it'd last me ten years. I did way more contour than was normal for me, but the photo made it seem like I had nothing on.
I did look good in the end, it was just interesting seeing how little showed up under the bright flash of the passport photo camera.

I listened to it once because I was curious after seeing FIFTY FIFTY everywhere. It was an enjoyable song, I might give it another go at some point. I did understand why people enjoyed it so much.

Is it odd that I thought Eunoia suited Billlie and was a part of the story that showed some of their backstory with the girl who became Billlie?
«Eunoia» translates as «a sign of good will», so I always figured it was a way to show happier times before the disappearance and trying to find their lost friend again.
Edit: Eunoia can also mean «beautiful thinking» or feeling goodwill and wanting to help. This is a song that embraces the good times, maybe to forget or ignore the bad?

There are very few active 3rd gen groups left.
BP
Twice
RV
OMG
Hi Cutie
Mamamoo is borderline right now, i think they had a comeback last year but i just have this feeling they're a group in name only.
Laboum is on indefinite hiatus. Weki hasnt released anything since 2021. Momoland is gone.
The theme of the OP was a 3rd gen group that hadn't been considered successful yet wasn't disbanded either. All the groups you listed, minus Hi Cutie, have had their moments in the spotlight and are considered to be an overall successful group.

Oh, and others I could find too from 4th gen:
Karina from Aespa (apparently her stage name was taken from her baptismal name, Katarina)
Giselle from Aespa
Eunha, SinB and Umji from Viviz (in terms of groups, they're 4th gen in this case). SinB is Catholic, I think, with the baptismal name Esther.
Yuju (soloist), Catholic with the baptismal name Angela.
Denise and Jinny from Secret Number
