It is probably because of her recent controversy

    Which is getting extremely big

Koreans are even asking for her to leave Korea

Yeah and I call bullshit on her testimony to the police about everyone not knowing the guy that hit the fan. Bruh this is the entertainment industry and you are celebrity NOBODY is hanging around you personally unless you know them or your friends know them personally. She saw things turning ugly because of you watch the CCTV she clearly gets up and tries to grab the guys arm before he even got close to the teen, so that tells you she knows something about the guy. Because if you just saw a "total stranger" you wouldn't rush to try in restrain them when the situation is not violent or confrontational . They must not be a Stranger because obviously you know something about their behavior and emotions to instinctively go to stop them. People don't do this with people they don't know because THEY DON'T KNOW THEM to know how they would react.

Easy they can't make direct literal impact on their fave idols. Ifans do not spend the same amount of money the domestic fans spend . THINK who's running all the fan clubs? Fansites and the photographers that give you all these exclusive pictures, who's getting into the fan signs whoa bulk buying albums and merchandise who's gifting idols items? Not ifans. Then you add on the inherit issue that many things can only be done if you have a Korean ID or Korean phone number let alone know how to navigate the processes to purchase things set up events work over minor legal documents etc. lastly physically close. Unlike you two oceans away I'm not afraid of a Ifan but a domestic fans likely knows my name my family seal, my address my family and friends names and faces where I work my dorm my group members personal information and where the hell I'm at in the agency 24/7. Plus likely lives a block away from me. Yeah I think I'll be more worried about domestic fans. Plus ifans miss out on understanding their faves in a fundamental level. It's extremely difficult to understand a complete stranger when you don't share the same language culture traditions and ethnic backgrounds Soo much gets lost in translation or missed entirely that shit is invaluable, most can't understand how big of an impact that makes on things

Never thought I would be saying this but this is worse than Seungri

Also korea is wack for calling gangrape quasi rape :huuh:

It's just a naming classification it depicts a rape in which the other party is incapacitated and unable to resist ie unconscious, drugged etc or a weapon is being used against them or attacked by multiple people. This crime has a more serious set of consequence carrying a normal sentence of 25 to life unlike other "lesser" forms of sexual assault. Hopefully he gets the maximum sentence. I really want someone in that station to get inside his head really want to know what makes people want to do this shit? Especially when you have the opportunity to have sex and any type of relationship easily and with little effort, especially when you are very attractive and handsome rich AF famous and have many people of every gender willing to go out with you with no strings attached so why go to rape? I don't understand it

I stopped taking Twitter armys seriously when I found out that majority of the ones that were so happily slutshaming female idols were women in their 40’s.

That's the fucked up part yet these people will cry scapegoat misogyny, when in reality the overwhelmingly vast majority of kpop fans and fans of BTS are women and they are shooting each other in the foot the friendly fire is Soo real it's ridiculous

It’s also about Eastern collectivism vs. Western individualism. Both have pros and cons, but clearly, this situation shows the flaws of collectivism when it’s done at the expense of a person.

These K-fans are willing to sacrifice one member because they don’t want to taint the group’s reputation and affect the success of the other members. The company is empathetic of this because they also believe the same thing to a certain extent.

Western individualism also has its faults. You can see this in the behavior of I-fans every day.

Our nation needs to have a healthy balance of the two ideologies for us to have a healthy functioning Korea into the future. Because today's represents what's known as joseon hell, there's a clear laundry list of reasons our birthrates are in the garbage we are in the endangered species list and most young Koreans are looking at moving abroad permanently.

it's because of uncalled BS behavior like this the country is leading the s****de rate globally. Too much toxicity my god. I'm grateful my group have an enormous international fanbase that overshadows the k-side. This guy didn't have this luxury and got burned by his group ''fans'' for having a life.

Doesn't matter if you're group has a international fanbase that's bigger than the Korean one. The same is true for NCT yet this still happened.

All idols cater primarily to their domestic fandoms because they are the most relatable they share the same language culture customs and traditions, so they will often get an idols idea or image from their works right away. Plus these domestic fans have a direct felt and seen impact, just looking at fan gifts and fan signs including fan clubs. Lastly their power. Samantha in Washington doesn't know my language, culture or where I live in Korea, if she's upset with me I'm not worried. But hyeji two blocks away in hongdae knows where I live where I work who my family is including their names and faces and can show up at my dorm or my company. Likely buys gifts and bulk buys my merchandise and always attends every concert Guess who I'm scared of more and likely to listen to. The girl two oceans away who's mostly clueless about the world outside her home town or the girl a few streets away from me that can literally directly affect my life personally inside 10 minutes of travel time?

sad situation. A shame this type of behavior is basically normalized in kpop.

It's normalized because our country hasn't grown a pair like the West.

In the West this sort of behavior is unacceptable by the celebrities or their companies they aren't afraid to cut you off curse you out or setup clear boundaries and lines to never cross. Something kpop agencies and idols need to do. They should set clear red lines that if you cross it it's fuck you plain and simple.

There's a reason why Beyonce Brad Pitt and others don't have this problem and never will because they always make you aware you are a fan not my fuckin family, lover or best friend you have no say on my private life, relationships or wtf I do if it's not illegal you STFU period.

Jesus, that *poor kid* - absolutely disgusting that he should have been put shoved out the group temporarily anyway for having his privacy violated and on the basis of exhibiting normal human behaviour… but this? This is next level. SM has handled this appallingly, from the way the announced his return, to not backing and protecting him.

Also, side-eyeing the florists who take money for this kind of behaviour.

No point side eyeing the florists when people order stuff from a flower shop or a funeral home you as the business are NOT privy to the details and reasons for the requests for service.

This is true for all kpop agencies if you are not affecting their profits they won't listen to you,no matter how loud you are, if your actions aren't causing them financially you won't be paid any attention

You are 100% right about this BUT here's the unfortunate truth, fans will have to hurt their faves by boycotting them, because kpop agencies never ever will listen to fans unless it affects their bottom line= income, no amount of protesting, etc will make them change their ways as none of it affects their income just look at the stuff going on in hybe, they have double and tripled down on "bad practices and investments" yet no amount of protesting has changed anything. If everyone had boycotted their entire roster of artists including BTS suddenly hybe would be negotiating with you. This same applies to all agencies they know fans being upset means nothing to them if the fans will never hurt their faves, then they will continue to make money and spite your face while at it

I really want to address the root cause of all of this — living vicariously so much that they're willing to hurt and destroy their faves' spirit and mental health.

Yes this is a cancer a disease that needs to be cured. We see it from suju to BTS these success stands are a blight upon kpop and the artists. Because they will ruin them if they believe anything the members of the group does anything that affects their reputation, when in reality that's the members concern not the fans concern, job or responsibilities fans need to learn to respect boundaries and know their place I think this is partly to blame on the idols and their agencies for not setting clear boundaries and lines to never cross without serious consequences behind it to stop that behavior.

I see this with Western celebrities and companies they clearly tell you what your relationship is and what you can and can't do and if you cross that line the celebrity will cut you off without remorse. This attitude needs to be the cornerstone of kpop

The idea that SM let it happen as an I told you so to the members seen realistic it's like an unloving dad showing you what the real world is like, there's no rainbow and buttercups this is reality it's dark brown cold and unfair and uncaring accept it. You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain.

The actions of these fans is no surprise we see it all the time, these are the same fans that will cry crocodile tears if I see this fuckin kid in the han river later.

Like you fucks cause these things don't act like you didn't intend for that to happen. As for the international fans? I know they mean well but unfortunately you are basically pissing in the wind, this goes for all fandoms including BTS. Every group will cater majority to their domestic fans because they hold power over the group. Unlike Suzy in Montana who's two oceans away from me can't speak my language etc I'm not afraid of you. But what keeps me up at night? Sooyun who's likey two blocks away in hongade knows my home address my phone number the faces and names of my family and friends and where I work and all my members of my group. People like that scare me.

First they released aespa solos after weeks of begging from fans ( still salty they haven’t released their first solos!) and now Seunghan is returning after months of begging from fans :?:

Did SM wake up with some common sense finally :melon_think: what next :/

They did but didn't have the balls to back it up and thus lost the braincells they were loaned .

Also where are the funeral wreaths for real criminals like Taeil?

He won't get any because SM kicked him out the moment they got word of his actions. And since he's a private citizen nobody knows his real home address to send them to him. It would be dumb to send it to SM he's no longer an artist of theirs. Literally the second it was discovered he was removed from NCT and kicked out and then removed from SM and all contracts dissolved

But still, being punished for silly things you did when you were a stupid young teenager isn’t fair. Idols are just normal human beings and have fun before they enter the industry. That haters of him also must coming from a very powerful background for SM unable to touch them.

🤡🤡🤡 This is kpop where fans are stupid and crazy and have this toxic parasocial relationship with the idols. For a idol to succeed you must be 10000% perfect anything less and you'd be lucky one of these crazy people don't stab you.

This happened once years ago crazy fan stabbed her idol to death he rang a block and a half before losing too much blood. She sat next to his body covered in blood until random pedestrians and later police pulled her away. Obviously it was too late for medical attention to help the poor guy.

Him leaving the group isn't a surprise, kfans and cfans are a lot closer and can directly affect their lives personally. International fans don't pay the bills nor do they have a seen physical direct impact on the group. This is why ALL groups including BTS will cater to the domestic fans first eveb if they don't make all the money. Because sooyun down the street can actually kick me in the ass unlike Suzy two oceans away and doesn't speak the language or no where I live or the names and faces of my entire family. So who you think I'm scared of more?

SM didn't listen to anyone. It looks like he voluntarily left the group and that's understandable. Fans already normally stress you out enough, now think of angry fans, saseangs and antis and the whole fandom turning on you and now trying hurt your group and friends by proxy. It would drive the most sane people insane and this all being placed on the head of a fresh 21 yr old guy who's just getting a grip on life. Yeah wouldn't surprise me if SM had no part in this decision
