From positive to negative, they can't sing and that's enough to stop listening to them. Hell, I listen to music and my requirement is simple - the ability to sing, it's like demanding acting from an actor. As people, they don't really interest me either, they have no charisma, although Kazuha and Sakura are impressive, the rest are just passable. Verdict, after Garam was kicked out of the group, Le Sserafim ceased to exist.

It's weird to put it that way.
because we don't see idol as worker - idol are not elligible for workplace bullying.
Yes, hani might be artist with million dollar salary , but trainee and idol with trainee debt are not and they work like a labor. I guess the ministry of labor loss the whole point.
What do you expect anyway ? In the end of the day, kpop is million dollar industry that help support the country. Reformation on industry to protect idols from being treated as product by their company is not something government really care about.
It turns out that fans now have no right to criticize the company for any attitude towards idols, including a busy schedule, health condition, etc., since an idol is a hired worker, not an employee. And you can do whatever you want with him for your own benefit, if the idol does not like such conditions, he can always terminate the contract, and any cries of fans are meaningless.

If you don’t buy charts, then there won’t be any hit, or rather playlists and autoplay. A hit is not about quality, but about promotion. If we take APT for example, this is a good, funny track, but I don’t hear it anymore and I’m unlikely to listen to it in the future, nevertheless, its numbers are simply crazy and it’s a hit.
-
This reminds me of the situation with Suga, who broke the law while being a big media personality, and the fans just tried to shield him by minimizing the violation of the law. Seungkwan even spoke out negatively about it, but the first big artists in Hybe, who were at the beginning, just keep silent, like little children in the bodies of 30 year olds.
-
It does actually
Are SM artists responsible for the company abusing, cheating and blacklisting their artists?
Or YG artists culpable for burning sun?
Or even NewJeans responsible for Min Heejin harassing her employee?
No to all
This is such a dumb take and yet another example of kpop stans taking serious issues and boiling it down to mudslinging fests
If you have a share in the company, then you are an accomplice and this is not even discussed. Since he has a share in the company, then he is a direct part of it. Collective responsibility, it is not one employee who wrote 10 thousand sheets of the report who is guilty, but all those involved in this, if a person who owns a share is silent, then this situation suits him. By their inaction, they only show that they are not against such industry reports.
When NewJeans was successful, fans of one group were the loudest in shouting that it was a success with BTS' money, but now suddenly BTS is just an artist and they have nothing to do with it. It's just funny, they represent a group with a company only when it's convenient for them and nothing else, but the reality is completely different.
-
And? If they don't participate in the decision-making process, it doesn't relieve them of responsibility. They are part of this company, and it's up to them after all this, they have two choices, either sell their shares and be just hired artists like everyone else, or continue to be part of the company, and therefore an accomplice. This is adult life, it's time to be responsible for your own actions.
Well, two members are definitely not against Hybe releasing such reports, since they are silent.
-
BTS are very important figures in HYBE, and they also have their own shares in the company. They will be complicit, at least we know that Jin and J-Hope have not said anything about this. They are no longer just artists, but are part of the company; being a part means not only receiving praise, but also accepting condemnation. So the answer is obvious.
-
What the hell? 2023 was a confusing year for Aespa, they released the controversial track Spicy which was average to say the least, if it weren't for the SM x HYBE x Kakao scandal it would hardly have taken off, there was a lot of speculation about them at that time. But Drama is a really good track, overall the album turned out to be very strong, I liked everything about it. But this is definitely not the best year of their career, I would say 2023 belonged to NJ and IVE, only them and no one else.
2021 and 2024 are the best years of the group.
-
Yes, I can name I Got You and New New, great tracks. Overall, it was a good album if you listen to it. But don't get your hopes up, overall this year I can name a couple of bands with two tracks without Google, this year was weak in music, it's not surprising that different bands made it into Melon's top 10.

Lmao, Heya isn't a flop. And so isn't Supernova Love like that is not even an official comeback.
What is this? Compare the results of Eleven, Love Dive, I Am, Baddie and Heya, just against the background of the rest Heya flop, against their background and in theory Supernova Love should have corrected the situation at the expense of a world star in the form of David Guette, but even he could not save this track.

Real question are you doing this just to troll or you really have serious problem to understand things ??
Izone disbanded in 2021
Gidle got hit with Soojin scandal in 2021
And lsrf, ive, and nj didn't debut in 2021 yet
So the only group pretty much active in 2021 were Itzy and aespa
That's why itzy is coming just after aespa in 2021
But they never dominated in 2021 which contradict the OP
So far, the trolling with stupidity comes only from you, with all due respect. Until 2022, ITZY was a top group that showed good results, and this period is enough to consider it as such before the disband. The problems of Izone and G-idle should not be brought into the picture at all, since there are always a lot of other groups in the industry and other groups would have come in their place, displacing ITZY, as we see now in the example of QWER, KIOF and other groups that made it to the top against the backdrop of a weak music market.
-
Starship is not your average agency, they are owned by Kakao media giant.
-
Let's get some numbers in Korea on how people keep saying itzy "dominated". They won 2019 and that's it.
Order by year, then Melon UL Peak, 2019 - 2021. Which people keep arguing solidfied them as "the top".
Year Song -Artist Melon Daily UL Peak 2019 Itzy - Dalla Dalla 571k 2019 Itzy - Icy 388k 2019 Izone - Violeta 294k 2019 (G)I-DLE - Lion 227k 2019 (G)I-DLE - Uh-oh 214k 2019 (G)I-DLE - Senorita 213k Year Artist - Song Melon ULS 2020 Izone - Fiesta 398k 2020 Izone - Ssots 368k 2020 (G)I-DLE - Dumdi Dumdi 273k 2020 Itzy - Wannabe 261k 2020 Itzy - Not Shy 253k 2020 (G)I-DLE - Oh My God 184k 2020 Aespa - Black Mamba 106k Year Artist - Song Melon ULs 2021 Aespa - Next Level 513k 2021 Aespa - Savage 390k 2021 Aespa - Dreams Come True 244k 2021 Itzy - In the Morning 224k 2021 (G)I-DLE - Hwaa 172k 2021 Itzy - Loco 143k 2021 Izone - Panorama 113k (Side Note Aespa had a Itzy level entry and also slid the same way Itzy did, but managed to correct it with Spicy in 2023, which i find interesting).
There is their debut year, fresh on the scene, where Itzy came out all guns blazing. Of course they did, first new generation group from a big label. They had all the airspace. But even then by year 2 they'd been overtaken in Korea, with both Izone and (G)I-DLE having bigger hit songs in Korea.
By Year 3 the other big labels had had their debut and then it was a complete. Even then they couldn't get above lowly "Hwaa" both times, idle's masterpiece cut down by winter timing and IU, and then a scandal.
Album sales they were only a shade above (G)I-DLE, and were completely behind Izone. This "domination" of theirs only persists as fiction in Itzy's stans mind, like old men trying to remember their youth with rose tinted glasses.
2019 top Melon UL 571k vs 2020 398k vs 2021 513k, 2020 was a weak year for releases, but even in 2021, after Aespa, ITZY is coming. You literally dropped proof that ITZY is a top group, as they are constantly at the top.

Reached the peak, first 5 days, debut, oh my god you draw conclusions about success in a short period, it's just funny. Look at Heya's position now, look at it a month ago, and then look at the trend of this track, and don't compare it with GOLD. Are you out of your mind, why are you flying GOLD? Heya flop relatively long success IVE, literally all last year they were at the top of the charts, and this year there have been only failures except for the Japanese comeback. This is a trend like ITZY.
-
On what chart and what has it achieved? Its place was constantly in the top 25, and this is after the releases that took PAK, now it's a top 50 track. Heya - flop, no wonder the track is just bad, although the video is very good. They even won 0 awards at music shows with Heya.
Same situation as ITZY, IVE achieved their best results in the first 2 years of their career, after which their results began to decline.
-
RV has always been a midtier group lmao even when they were putting out hits they were mid. They were only top 3 of their gen cuz the other GGs were even less successful
It's not that a group can't have flop comebacks but that Itzy has failed to recover from the flops and have been on decline for quite some time. IVE's Heya is a bigger hit in SK than anything Itzy has released with the exception of DD, lbr here. IVE have 0 flop comebacks, Itzy have several.
Heya - Flop, All Night - Flop, Supernova love - Flop.
-
They are not a top group of the 4th generation. Period. They were just the first one to score a big hit on their debut. If they released at least three more songs on the level of DD, then we'd be cooking something up but no.
You don't get to fail to even chart for years (in the top 100) and still claim top girl group status.
That's how they get on charts like Billboard. Well, it turns out that TWICE is not a top group because it doesn’t hit the charts. Any group has a period of decline, ITZY showed top results throughout the time, this is enough to be considered a top group.
-
Wannabe is one of the biggest hits internationally by 4th gen groups, no two ways about it. But sadly it's their only intl hit. If we are talking about dance videos, LSF and NJ crush the competition.
Itzy are not a top group because of the 2 hits they had in their debut year. They are a midtier group.
And now STUDIO CHOOM and look at several views of ITZY. By the way, LSF constantly gives out awards for performance, but in terms of views they never reached ITZY. If you only look at the current figure and not the overall picture, then in your opinion Red Velvet is an average group based on the performance of recent albums, and not the top 3 generation.
The fact that a group has a bad streak in its career does not deprive it of its status as a top group; if you haven’t noticed, things are not going well for IVE either, this does not deprive it of its status as one of the top groups of the 4th generation.
