that’s bc this artwork took heavy inspiration from the styling in antifragile era, not their upcoming cb. Chaewon’s two-tone hair is a dead giveaway, and their outfits are also obviously a reference to this set in the mv and also during antifragile’s promotion period

There’s a very high chance the people complaining about these issues in that op’s comments (which tally up to 30 peeps, tops) aren’t the same ones streaming these songs on every platform (which amount to millions of different peeps), but that’s probably a logical deduction too out of your depth

It was always obvious that youtube views were crazily inflated and only deranged kpop stans cared about their meaningless records. Yes yt was growing but not to the extent that a video could suddenly see a boost of 100m views in a single day after only less than a decade of the platform’s growth. Western artists did chase after those records for awhile but once kpop stans started hacking the system with their insane mass streaming and ads, no one gave a shit about artificially increasing views anymore besides kpop stans, and we’re only now watching the bubble burst on the kpop side after it already did at least half a decade ago on the western side. That’s why it’s always funny to watch some people still brag about yt views nowadays as if it means anything lol. To a certain extent the same could be applied to the obsession with bragging about spotify and physical sales inflation and whatnot, but that’s a conversation for another day i guess

Regarding NJs like already mentioned the Immortal song thing was not related to NJs popularity, the whole thing was a mess. They're breaking almost every record left and right both in Korea and internationally in a span of a year and you can check the Lollapalooza videos if you're worried about their popularity in the US.

Twice are legends and one of the biggest ggs ever, they don't need to be ''defended'' like this.

It’s ok if you like the mv, but when it literally only has 2 shooting sets, both of which are incredibly generic conceptually and don’t display a fraction of the creativity and effort put into other xg mvs, not to mention the questionable and ineffective directing and editing in this mv, even the choreo (which is by far xg’s weakest and does the song no favour) and the styling (which is objective so i won’t get into that but it’s their weakest stuff from this year as well), it’s very fucking puzzling to spot where exactly puppet show’s mv surpassed in quality and aesthetics compared to other xg mvs 🤣 fyi having a bunch of background dancers in all-white bodysuits dancing in front of a white background does not automatically make a more artistic mv by any stretch of the imagination lol
