It was mentioned in the news that it was viral marketing, chart manipulation or sajaegi but it never mentioned that it was about inflating physical sales. Not sure how you managed to confirm that case was for physical sales.
Notwithstanding that, even if that case was about inflating sales - there is zero evidence that the same is happening to all other HYBE groups
And if it is indeed happening to all other HYBE groups, how can you ascertain that NJ sales wasnt affected by this same tactic? There were already someone exposed MHJ for doing some form of sajaegi for japan sales.

Which many already stated that is common industry practice and hence you see idols having endless fansign events to sell those albums. Riize,NMIXX were previously exposed by knetizens for that too.
Not trying to justify, but if that's the sajaegi we are talking about, MHJ did also for NewJeans Get Up...
Fact: MHJ "pre-sold" albums for a fansign(s) in Japan that would happen in the future. The very thing she accused Hybe of. It seems that everything she has accused others of doing, such as plagiarism, she has actually did herself.

There are Tokkis and MHJ stans.
The ones most vocal are the MHJ stans, posting something and then later it turns out that NJs has done worse, is hilarious.
Some weirdness is happening with Hanteo, whether its Hybe trying to minmax music show wins which imo is better they don't win any, or "new" Hanteo processes delaying the sales, I do not know.

Hopefully NJs members also wake up and realize they been used, otherwise the decline will be even greater. No one is going to buy the sympathy shtick when they made $4 million each last year, and in fact it may even backfire in a career ending way.

I dont think SouMu nor HYBE had the intention to replicate sound of IZONE or to solely rely on Sakura & Chaewon to grab the izone fans. Moreover, between wonyoung/yujin, sakura/chaewon pair, the former is more well liked by Korean GP while the latter pair - Sakura was hated for being Japanese and Chaewon for being the "suspected rigged member".
HYBE didn't really put spotlight on the ex-izone members. If they were planning to do so, the center during debut would have been sakura or chaewon but no, the most pushed member was (1) Garam as center (2) Kazuha as visual and (3) Yunjin as main vocal. I bet they were jsut taking ex-izone to ensure enough buzz + stable/guaranteed sales. Obviously this strategy backfired due to Garam scandal and they lost a center. Kazuha being viral for beauty but couldnt attract stans, and subsequently Yunjin scandal... They have eventually resorted to Chaewon as face and Sakura as center
In contrast, SS hard-pushed Wonyoung Yujin as face and center of IVE. The strategy created a big gap in popularity but somehow they won the GP appeal as compared to Lsrf. Not sure is it good for long run...
Lsf was Hybe's attempt to conquer Japan. Sakura, Chaewon and Minju (Izone) who declined the offer to join Lsf were the 3 most popular members in Japan. They are still on track, selling similar numbers of Japanese albums as Twice.

Many will jump on their bandwagon since they have a chance to be the next BP.
