Cube Entertainment signs 80 billion won deal with Kakao Entertainment

Over the next five years, the Kakao subsidiary will get exclusive distribution rights for music from Cube Entertainment, which is home to girl group (G)I-DLE and boy band BTOB. Kakao Entertainment owns Melon, the largest domestic music service and second in terms of market share following YouTube music.

Cube Entertainment will use the proceeds from the deal for album production and related development. Kakao will pay 50 billion won at the outset and then the rest after Cube Entertainment…

After the award shows, they rush out and sign up gidle.

Ive is donesies.

Ive was the leading group for most of the year, then NJ appeared and buried them.

Kakao has gidle now. Starship has no more left to shoot.

The top girl groups rarely go head to head and release within the same week or two.

When they do so, it usually ends with the loser going into a slow decline. Think Twice vs Gfriend. NJ vs Ive.

After the NJ vs Ive showdown, where complete nujus demolished Ive, almost everyone has written off Ive now.

I do not believe they will go head to head for a couple of years, simply as neither YG or HYBE want to end their group.

I still think aespa have the biggest domestic fandom but you have to consider that this group literally JUST debuted so of course their fandom wont be as strong in this area, give them a couple months or so.

Not even gonna talk about the sajaegi accusations because every popular GG gets those once they do well. You just seem angry that people are starting to count IVE out of the 4th Gen leader race in favor of NJ but it makes no sense to take it out on them and start doubting their success.

Ive has peaked. NJ blew them away with no pre-hype. StayC fans moved to Ive, who have now moved to NJ. No doubt Koreans like younger idols, and the stan magnets in Ive are getting on the older side now.
