Min Hee-jin, notice of exercise of put option to Hive... Expected to be worth 26 billion won https://www.mbn.co.kr/news/society/5072262
It has been confirmed that former CEO Min Hee-jin of Adore recently notified HYBE that she would exercise a put option (stock purchase request right) on Adore stocks.
This put option is one of the key elements of the shareholder agreement that former CEO Min made with HYBE.
According to the music industry today (the 14th), former CEO Min notified HYBE of the exercise of the put option early this month.Based on this, it is known that former CEO Min can receive an amount close to 26 billion won. It is also reported
that former Vice President Shin of Adore and former Director Kim, who are classified as close associates of former CEO Min, notified Hive on the same day that they would exercise the put option.
However, it is highly likely that former CEO Min will have to go through a legal battle before he actually receives a large sum of money through the exercise of the put option.I expected the forum to be full of posts and a new thread about this lmao, this might be the most relevant update in months with the NJ's contract termination news yesterday. They're pushing together, Hybe must be shaking right now, if both things work out and they lose NJ + have to pay MHJ it's going to be a complete disaster for Hybe.

Forget about the name, if they can get it it would be awesome, but if they don't it's not important at all, MHJ will rebrand them perfectly I've no doubts. The most important thing is that the girls are free of the company that are currently bullying them and trying to replace them, and in terms of success believe me, they won't have any problem, they're probably more popular now than 1 year ago, specially the girls themselves as individuals, not just "New Jeans".
The only negative point I can think is the songs, but maybe they can do something and even if they don't they've just started their career, they didn't even release their first full album. Right now it seems a problem but in the long run it's by far the best option they have.
And the people "worried" about them saying it's not the right choice can fuck off.

Whiplash is probably peaking this weekend. It's close to the peak of the big songs released during March-May, APT's timing was perfect to help with that.
APT is losing a lot of ULs these last days, but it's understandable considering how ridiculously high it was, the higher you're the easier it is to lose ULs. Still around the peak of Supernova after weeks... Of course for things like awards it's not gonna win anything this year because of timing, but I'd say it's almost impossible it doesn't end up as the biggest song of this year in Korea, it reminds me to AKMU's HCILTH.
There's a song charting now at #25 rising really fast, it wouldn't surprise me if it's close to the top 10 after the weekend.
And when is G-Dragon going to release the album? Power is definitely not his best song, but i'd say it's more used as an intro and to build anticipation for the comeback as a "Hey G-dragon is back", specially looking at the lyrics. However I think it might have reduced a bit the anticipation there was for his comeback. Anyway not like if G-dragon should care too much about charts at this point lol.

I'm going to explain this again. You keep mixing up issues and making it into a black or white issue. Get your head out of your butt, because this is a complex issue. If it was so simple, neither Hybe nor MHJ would be spending legal fees galore like this.
- MHJ will most likely win the main lawsuit. Hybe accused MHJ of Breach of Trust.
- All the issues brought up by Hybe was struck down in the first injunction, which bodes well for the main lawsuit. The ruling of the first injunction will have a big influence on the main lawsuit.
- Hybe unilaterally terminated the shareholder's agreement, and they filed a confirmation lawsuit.
- Second Injunction was a moon shot to get her seat back as CEO.
- Injunction is used to maintain the status quo. If she was still the CEO, the injunction would have worked.
- The court didn't even go through the merit of the evidence, because Ador internal directors would vote her out as CEO even if the procure clause was enforced.
- Hybe gave concessions by stating in court that MHJ will be voted back in as inside director, and she will be given a producer role with ceo-like power.
- Newjeans contract termination
- Newjeans have to give Hybe a chance to rectify their alleged wrongdoings towards them.
- This is where the Fifty Fifty lawsuit fell apart, because they never went through this step.
- If Hybe steps up and fix their act, there is no cause for contract termination.
- Newjeans can press on with a contract termination, but at that point, the ruling will be up to the court and there is no certainty in that. If they are able to fix all the issues without the contract termination, it is the ideal outcome.
- Newjeans have to give Hybe a chance to rectify their alleged wrongdoings towards them.
While liking or disliking Hybe is part of the equation, there is a business component to this decision. Everyone involved have to weigh the risk and reward. In the earlier part of this saga, the pros outweighed the cons from doing a contract termination. With Hybe making concessions in regards to MHJ and trying to rectify the mistreatment towards Newjeans, that gap has narrowed. It probably doesn't make sense to push on with the contract termination.
Does that make sense?
Killingtime doesn't give a fuck about all this, they're just trolling around. If anything we should feel pity for someone that do this, I guess they don't have anything better to do with their life, but don't waste your time, it's definitely more valuable.
- MHJ will most likely win the main lawsuit. Hybe accused MHJ of Breach of Trust.

It's a pity to see NJ's current momentum with no news about a potential comeback and knowing Hybe has halted their activities. In Korea they're the hot topic of the moment, MHJ ranking #1 in that 2024 power industry of the year is insane not just because she's 1st, but because she got 82 votes out of the 200 possible ones. NJ was #4 with 10 votes, the highest for any group, and considering MHJ has probably "stolen" several votes that would have been for them. In social media they're more trendy than ever and the national assembly has put them on the eyes of everybody, while with barely any songs released in the last year they're still one of the most played artists in the country.
In the international community is more difficult to guess, but now that everybody know better what happened they seem in a way better position than back in May when everything was pretty weird and they were receiving a lot of hate because of things proven wrong later. That added to things like the fortnite collab and their rising popularity in the gaming/streaming community (thanks Jason) puts them in a perfect moment to make a comeback. I'm completely sure a properly promoted 1st full album (I'm 100% sure it would be way better promoted than the last comeback) with the planned fanmeeting to build more anticipation would be insane.
I know success is probably the least important thing right now, but to see this much potential being wasted is sad. Hell it seems Hybe is not even sending them to the biggest award shows... The ones that they are attending are the ones happening soon with the line up announced a while ago, maybe even already planned when MHJ was still CEO, but they aren't attending MAMA or MMA so far which is ridiculous, they don't have anything to do.
-
The thing I like the most is how the girls are right now. Unlike in other moments of this mess, they didn't stop being active. They even made a live for bunnies anniversary just 30 mins after the result of the injunction was out, I'm completely sure they were aware it was unlikely to win that one and they already have plans to do next. The only one that worries me a bit is Hyein, I've the feeling she's a bit down, at least compared with the rest. It's obvious this situation have made the girls stronger.
Same for MHJ, she didn't even seem to care about the injunction in the interview. She knew this was going to happen, she also knew that today Fakedor's board wasn't going to change anything, she's just going ahead with her plan, I guess we'll know about it soon.

So G-Dragon is releasing the prerelease tomorrow, and I guess the album will come in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
For the prerelease, the situation is perfect to reach a really high amount of ULs, if it was a couple of weeks ago it would be completely different. However, it's good to get high ULs but definitely the most complicated moment to reach #1 in the whole year, the hourly streams of APT are still insane and even if he can reach that to stay stable there for 24 hours seem almost impossible. If there's anyone that can do it, it's G-Dragon, but it's still complicated.
A possible scenario is that it doesn't reach #1 now, but when he releases the album with APT charting lower the title of the album or Power being boosted could reach #1 then. It's gonna be interesting.
The timing is also exactly when MMA should end the tracking period for their awards... It will be in a year but it's going to be interesting when MMA starts the tracking period for next year, because a song like this coming tomorrow could be relevant for all the awards including the daesangs. Melon will probably choose what will be better for them, maybe related with the artists attenting.

As I said, you don't know the whole background. I'm not gonna explain everything, if you're really interested do some research, but believe me when I tell you to make peace with Hybe is not a realistic option.
And also stop with the money bullshit, there're sides in this story that have proven it's not about money.
-
thats why I said better to try make peace with them.
Looking at your posts I'm going to assume you haven't followed the topic too much and don't really know what's up.
To make peace with Hybe is not an option, they've just halted their activities and just this weekend a document where they said they wanted to replace NJ was exposed. Anyone who thinks NJ's best option is to leave MHJ and stay at Hybe waiting to see what they'll do with them simply don't want the best for NJ.
-
Well today's result is disappointing but expected, the same will probably happen tomorrow, like Yama said Hybe still have one last chance to try to more or less fix the things but we all know they won't.
The thing is, Hybe is just buying time with all these things, it's what they've been doing for months, since they lost the 1st injunction the result of everything is obvious and now that we know more background context I have no doubt NJ can terminate their contract if they want. So yeah NJ and MHJ are going to win eventually, the problem is not that, the problem is when.
Tatiana just mentioned to hope this is going to be quickly, well, no it's not going to be. Hybe is going to do anything they can to make everything slow, for companies time is money too, and it's the only thing they care about, it's obvious they've no morals.
However for NJ time is not money, it's their career, it's their lifes. This is what pisses me off the most, at this point it wouldn't be weird if we don't have other comeback in a year, maybe more, we can't really know. NJ are losing a lot of time of what should be the most important years of their careers, we as fans should be enjoying the fanmeeting, getting ready for their comeback... they as idols should be preparing their performances and enjoying being with fans, we shouldn't be in the middle of this ridiculous legal battle because a fat idiot and his friends got jealous of NJ's success and didn't know how to manage their company.
Also, NJ and MHJ don't want to terminate the contract, they want to stay at Hybe. This might sound weird but it's just the easy way to comeback to their normal activities fast, and also because they might be able to leave, but the NJ IP and the songs are something super complicated to bring with them. I'm not expecting many news tomorrow, just the negative from Hybe, but maybe the next days we'll get to know NJ and MHJ's next move, and I honestly have doubts about what it is, to terminate their contract is what makes the most sense, but it's to start a long, draining battle...
Fuck you Hybe.
-
Chill.
While I kinda agree with your previous post and I'd have been the happiest person in the world if other idols said something before, it's also understandable they didn't want to risk a problem with their current company.
Kinda selfish, yeah, but it's what many people would do in their job when they see other people being mistreated, the most common thing to do is to ignore it sadly.
And regarding this post I insist there was a huge turning point with NJ's live and after that anybody with 2 braincells that have some proper information about the issue have sided with them, don't care about the rest. We're probably going to get good news the following days, and if we get bad news I'm gonna be the first one becoming crazy so we'll go together lol.
One thing we should learnt about all this is how we shouldn't care that much about the social media hate, even if it's complicated sometimes.

Seventeen's Seungkwan speaks out in Instagram post
External Content www.instagram.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.I don't want to see us hurting each other anymore.
As I've watched everything that has happened over time, I kept moving forward with the hope that somehow, things would pass, holding back my emotions and working hard with the members, just as I've always done. But now, watching and waiting for the fire to die out is no longer an option. For my people who are getting hurt - my fans and my members - for all my colleagues who are working hard at this very moment, I feel I can no longer remain silent.
To some, this may seem like meddling, to others, a rash statement, but I decided to speak up with courage just once.
Being a celebrity is a path I chose, and there are parts I must endure since I receive so much love. But I don't believe it's a job where I should have to endure to the point of hurting myself, tearing myself down to the brink of collapse just to hold on.
I simply want to do my best and take responsibility in the role I was given, to repay my fans who love me, and to share any positive energy I can offer in various ways. The burden, pressure and physical and mental fatigue are honestly beyond what words can express.
Yet even in this moment, we must persevere. Some view things logically, some try to stay positive, and others, even when it's tough, adapt and ensudure however they can. Because I chose this path, I am supposed to bear the weight of it, but today, that reason feels so merciless and harsh.
Some days are bright, and others are cloudy - today is a particularly cloudy day for me. Have I not had days where I tried to face things positively? Have I not tried to smile, no matter what? But today it's not easy, and I feel heartbroken for those who are hurting at this very moment. It's frustrating that I cannot embrace everyone. I wonder if my clumsy words can resonate or offer comfort.
Including my members, the colleagues and friends I know in the large Kpop industry are people who genuinely love what they do. Because of their deep sincerity, they get hurt, and because of their great love, they sometimes feel empty. But day by day, they live, giving and receiving love for themselves, their members, their families and fans.
This is something I want to make clear: these are not people who live ordinary, easy lives to be so casually judged and discussed. They have felt pain, they have fallen, and they still push forward with all they have to show their best ons stage for their fans. I wish people wouldn't take idols lightly.
You don't have the right to easily involve yourself in our story. This goes not just for us but for other artists, too. We are not your commodities. I hope you don't think you can just use and enjoy us however you like.
Even with just a week of music shows, all our energy is drained. On top of that, there are ads, events, concerts and other schedules. Despite this, nowadays, there are many colleagues who greet me warmly with a smile, even more than I do. Every time I see that, IZ smile back. That's all I can offer them. Every time they greet us with a powerful smile, I am grateful. Even a line from a message written in an album can uplift my spirits on a tiring day. All I want is for everyone to be healthy and free of pain.
I like the challenge culture too. Whether we are close or not, sharing a video of us dancing together is a small yet beautiful memory for us during the best days of our youth. And if fans enjoy it, that's even better. Even if we don't know each other, just one word of encouragement after filming, saying "good luck with your activities" brings warmth. I believe it's meaningful and something to be thankful for to meet with respect and offer even a little help.
Though I should be the first to make an effort, I wish we could all be a little warmer. If we could view, support and love each other warmly, things might get a bit better. I truly dislike watching someone break down and finally let go. I hope we can stop causing wounds we can't take responsibility for. That's my earnest wish, I no longer want to see my members, our hardworking colleagues, the dedicated staff and our fans who genuinely care, getting hurt.
To the fans who continue to love us warmly, I want to say I am sorry and I love you.
Idols speaking up is basically the last step needed. Not sure if more idols will follow, I really hope so, but that's when fans are going to go all in and not just laugh at Hybe and make memes, if idols start speaking up this is going to be huge.
I've been claiming in the megathread for some weeks how important this was for the industry, the live of NJ was a turning point and everything since then is an improvement for the future of idols in one way or another. His words are sad, the things we're seeing coming from Hybe are lame, but we've to witness these things if we want a change.
Gonna leave a small rant that I'm a bit mad that it wasn't NJ's medical records being leaked, their comeback and tour being halted or their live talking about bullying what made Kpop stans care about the issue, but their favs getting dragged in internal documents which is a way less important point of the story, but still I'm glad that there was something that made everybody open their eyes, I guess it's not that surprising since we all mainly care about our favs here and until something isn't directly related to them we just enjoy the drama.
As I said, hopefully more idols start speaking up, to see this personal point of view from them is so meaningful, and it coming from someone from Hybe is even more meaningful.

I don't want to sound rude but if you can't name a song from IU you can't even say you're into Kpop, you're just into some groups. She has been releasing big hits until a couple of years ago for more than a decade.
I can understand not checking some 1st or 2nd gen artists that are not active anymore if you didn't care about finding out about Kpop, but IU is not an example of this.
-
It's pretty funny to see Hybe's comments about NJ 5 days after Attention dropped. It's not that people didn't know the names of the members yet, but the songs weren't even released in digital platforms, and they were already scared that they'd surpass LSFM. It's not just that they never cared about them, it's that they were afraid since day 1 that the group they were "rejecting" could surpass BSH's gg, this feeling is what leaded to all the hate the girls received when they started to break records left and right.
These are KKT messages of MHJ posted during her press conference, they all make so much sense now:

If we talk about just the money that the group generated for SM, it's probably Exo. It's not just that they had better sales/touring numbers but also they peaked during the 3rd gen when the market was in general bigger and easier to make money. I think SNSD made more money with CFs in Korea but I still don't think it's enough to make up for the crazy amount of money big bgs fandoms can make.
However if we talk about "indirect" money I think SNSD wins. Some people have already mentioned SNSD had more impact but that doesn't translate directly into money. While I agree I think if we want to analyze the situation properly that's too simple. SNSD had a huge impact in Kpop being the top act for a long time, and the impact that had on SM's brand was also huge, making the debuts of the upcoming groups more anticipated and being acknowledged as the top company of Kpop for a long time (also thanks to other groups like SJ or SHINee ofc, but SNSD was the "face" without any doubt), actually EXO themselves and their super fast success were a consequence of SM's status those years.
Might be me but I tend to value this impact more than direct moneymaking, but I understand there will be many people that disagree.

Not sure if the translation of that old Big hit worker was posted in the forum yet, leaving it here.
The post is from JUNE OF 2023, and it's scary how similar her situation was to MHJ's. This seems a quite relevant person during the rise of Big hit.

There's no exact day. They had until the 25th (included) to give material for them to judge, and it makes sense they didn't say anything in the weekend. It's also possible that those 18k pages are being reviewed to see if they find something new related to NJ's topic.
It's likely we'll get news tomorrow, but it could take some days more too. I've to say it would be funny and quite ironic if it was the 29th, given it was the day NJ was hinting for something (probably the cancelled fanmeeting or maybe the comeback announcement)

okay. just feels like a strange thing to drag up in the NA.....
The NA meeting was about workplace bullying but they are also meant to discuss protections for idols/none employees. ATM idols aren't considered employees, only contractors, so the legal protections for employees don't extend to them and technically there are no protections for them unless they are minors where they can't work past 11pm or something. She was a witness for what happens when there is bullying but your not protected by employee laws and the company your under doesn't care.
Just to add, it was not just the live caught the NA's attention. K-Bunnies were the ones who reached the NA to investigate Hybe, they made a whole project, hired lawyers and made everything possible.
팀 버니즈 (@NewJeansSTRM) on X팀 버니즈(Team Bunnies) 🙋♀️ @NewJeans_vote_ Support@teambunnies.com 또는 DM #뉴진스 #NewJeansx.comThat's the Twitter account and they've been updating what they've been doing since the live, the most recent updates even have english translations. This has been a really important project from a fandom I think we shouldn't forget.
