I realize this forever but recently I come across several soloist mvs and it hits harder than usual that you need to have the 'soloist charisma' in order to stand out and carry yourself. like, they are talented, even some of the best in their respective group, but once they perform outside without the members, they become dull and sort of unconvincing. this is not limited to heavy-dance soloist but vocal-focused soloist too. anyone can go solo but not everyone can has the IT to do it alone no matter how talented they are. but nevertheless i believe the potential is there for everyone.
It has more to do with general popularity of your ex group...

When someone says this, it more of a reflection of how you can’t relate to the music on a personal level and not so much about the quality of music. People go through phases with music for sure and that is normal.
However, there are many talented musicians/artists/idols everywhere, so keep on looking until you discover something that clicks for you.
It would be more productive to share who are your faves and ask for recommendations based on that.
Big agency acts will always do well because they have promotion and casual listeners and if they build a fan base, it speaks for itself.
Yeah it is hard to get my type of music these days...Don't know what all the hype is about.

What was the last kpop song you liked
I don't listen to songs immediately after comebacks but when I feel like listening to kpop.So these days some songs are catchy to me like after like, love dive, seventeen's recent songs, stayc's songs. I also came across this song monochrome. It was good.Other than that I am just listening to the older ones(bts,exo,ateez etc) or I simply pass my time watching kdramas😅
