This is standard fare for celeb interviews. Actual or potentially controversial topics are blacklisted. For kpop it especially makes sense because companies want their groups to be as neutral and accessible to fans as possible.

I agree with many already posted. I'm gonna add Irene.
She loves her girls so much. She woke up Yeri in the mornings to get her ready for school since the 5th grade, ironed her uniforms, prepared food for her and Joy, take care of them when they were sick. She was the first person to approach Joy as a friend, not as someone older when they were trainees. She would massage Joy when she was tired. She would stay with Wendy til all hours in the morning while she practiced in the studio. She doesn't hesitate to splurge on them if it's things they want. She cooks them seaweed soup on their birthdays. Recently, Wendy texted in the group chat jokingly/offhandedly to say she wanted a drink and Irene got and delivered Wendy her fave kind. She encourages open discussions about their feelings and frustrations and listens to all their issues without giving them any burdens of her own. She encourages them to speak on occasions where the leader would usually do the honors. She'll clean off all the meat from the bones and feed her members first before she starts eating. Johnny and Doyoung from NCT have expressed gratitude for her kindness and support to them as well.
Though she takes being the leader seriously, she sees herself as a equal contributor to the group and that all of them together as a team make RV what it is.

I've always liked Red Velvet's songs but only recently really became a reveluv. I know they're known for their vocals - especially Wendy Seulgi and Joy but I would occasionally stumble upon folks who say Irene can't sing/is only there for her looks and that Yeri adds nothing. But I find that the 5 part harmony really makes their sound. Yeri is the backbone of some of their best songs. And even though they can't do the gymnastics Wendy and Seulgi do, they can hold their own. For eg. I was surprised to hear Irene sing Candy on her own or just impromptu sing along to Wendy's parts to stuff and sound just as good. They should let her sing in her higher register more.

For BP all I used to hear about was Rosé's vocals and Jenlisa's raps but Jisoo's voice is what got my attention and ended up being my fave

In regards to the whole plastic surgery thing...not to discount the fact that people DO get ps, I feel like people really underestimate the power of having money, changing your eyebrow shape/color, weight loss, better makeup, filters, and Photoshop. Even paparrazi pics and IG pics get edited. And using professionally taken photos to compare to random LQ/grainy pics from 10 years ago? ridiculous.
That said, idols who look unnatural to me are people like Chungha, Taeyeon, Jessi, park bom, hyuna, the ateez guys, taemin and key sometimes, Sana sometimes, Sunmi sometimes, anyone that looks unnaturally fluorescent white, people with faces that look super super symmetrical like naeun from April or Yoon from stayc.
