That's in your region. Skz members are quite popular in my country and the group itself is popular here specially among new kpop fans. However you saying you don't know skz or the members of skz is quite questionable cause I've been seeing you in skz related threads often. So don't lie I know you know Skz well, you're just bitter lol.

Are you aware of the fact that kpop isn't mainstream anywhere around the world cz it's simply kpop not English pop so yeah nobody listens to kpop other than kpop fans themselves. Only few kpop songs that got popular among the general public and 95% of the streams are coming from fans themselves. Among kpop fans Skz is indeed popular bjt if you're gonna talk about general public then nobody's popular maybe just V, jungkook, Jennie and Lisa.

It's an impressive growth when for big3 groups if in the first two years of debut you don't get a "hit" you are completely erased from top groups convo, but SKZ became an exception and trusted themselves to keep producing their songs and here we are.

I think day6 would be a good example than Skz. They got popularity way later than Skz 😭 but I got your point

Newjeans are way more popular. You don't need to be a kpop stan to know their songs. Their songs are often played in our national tv, but never straykids

Where do you live tho?

I live in Bangladesh and newjeans isn't popular as a group but some of their songs are well known among the kpop community. Meanwhile for SKZ ppl are mostly into the members but yeah all inside the kpop bubble. Nobody in my country cares about kpop other than kpop fans and some jealous single dudes who can't find a girlfriend cz the girl they like likes kpop.

Kpop is actually not that popular in Korea. Surprising I know but among general public kpop isn't that popular except for some groups which are mostly girl groups. Koreans aren't as invested as us international fans.

Mama has been mistreating Skz for years so yeah Skz should prioritise their wallet instead of being disrespected over and over. They're already selling out concerts setting records that many 4th gen groups haven't done yet, so that's enough relevant for SKZ themselves.

From 2022-2023 Skz's china fanbases contributed to their album sales around 1 million alone. Their cbars were quite strong. But from this year idk what happened it's either China became more strict about letting Kpop albums being sold or Cstays were boycotting Skz's albums for having too much clashes with the international fans. Cause Skz's solo fans were becoming too toxic specially the Chinese fans and started online hate trends on the other members. There was an incident when Skz went to china one of the akgaes threatened to hurt a member. A lot of things had happened and international stays stopped interacting with the Cstays completely.

Yes I got to watch the MV 😭 since the internet is too slow the quality was low but I did watch it
