I agree Yoona's aura is soft and sweet is opposite of her features because she has the high nose and V shaped jaw but they work together to make a lovely person

when a group has potential but their company can't give them good songs and the lack of live singing

they're very good at providing a variety of content.... if you think about the amount of korean content that gets translated and shared with western fans done mostly by the passion of fans it's amazing. the amount of translations, edits, gifs, photo accounts, it's crazy

This instrumental rendition of Celebrity without the edm chorus is so much better and I think fits the uplifting vibe of the song much better, honestly I think the edm is part of the reason it wasn't received as well as other IU releases (ofc it was still received well, it's an IU song but I digress) I know IU always want to try new sounds and genres so I get why she went with the edm

I disagree that her face is super unique, Weki Meki's yoojung and Apink Eunji look similar imo and there are others I can't remember their names

but if you think about it IU had to ride the wave of shifting public opinion from the day she debuted, from nugu to korea's little sister to sly-fox to nation's song writer. To face such barrages of love and hate without catching celebrity disease or getting depressed is a talent within itself. I think IU's strong mentality is one of her many talents and dealing with divided public opinion is one of the reasons she is able to resonate with the public and tap into what they like so well

Obviously knets do not represent the voice of Koreans, and clearly actors/actresses that aren't conventionally attractive still get work, but I can't help but notice comments saying about certain actors/actresses that they're "too ugly to act" and don't have "actor visuals" and netizens are "surprised a face like that became an actor", which makes me wonder: must every actor/actress be attractive? I get for kdramas people want the leads to be attractive because most dramas are romance based, but for the comic relief, side characters, and ajusshi/ajumma roles, must the actors really be attractive? I mean isn't it more realistic to real life that not everybody is a 10/10 heartthrob?

Anyone been attacked for an opinion or prediction only for time to pass and the consensus shift in your favor? I'll go.... before Savage I pointed out Aespa never sing live (not even as an anti-fan I just wanted to hear their voices) and the forum jumped me saying that they have sung live their vocals are just so perfect it sounds like MR (lol, sure jan), but now it seems k-nets have caught on and everyone notices their lack of live singing

Targeting the top 2 kpop artists when this issue applies to ALL artists and the top artists on spotify are all mostly western artists is clearly a clickbait tactics. they know that by riling up kpop fans they can get easy clicks.

honestly tired at this point of western media seeing kpop artists as an easy target for their clickbait and half-assed journalism

it sadly doesn't surprise me that people who fabricate claims to get attention and stir a ruckus would chose to add on to the dog pile of a "cancelled" celebrity, false accusations are wrong no matter what, but tbh her career was beyond saving once the hyunjoo thing blew up

Many idols are just smoke and mirrors (or lighting and makeup that is..) but idk because I only watch them from my screen, so as long as they give good performances I'm content, even if it's not real life

There seems to be division among kpop fans in general on whether this girl group member is a visual or not. Some people think she is gorgeous, while others think the extreme opposite. Especially among k-fans there is dispute.

Personally I think she is beautiful, however I can see why many have the opinions they do, she has very strong features (prominent nose, sharp jaw) and looks like a copy + paste of her famous brother, which might make people view her features as masculine.
