I know about M.I.L.K and have their 1st and only album, but I didn't really pay attention to the members. That's on me, though.

That was a nice medley of their classic hits. I was waiting for Kan Miyoun to rock those cool hairstyles from 1999, but I realize it's 2025.

I've been away from kpop for a minute, so I can't comment on New Jeans although it seems they're highly influential.
H.O.T. - every kpop fan more or less has heard of Candy
TVXQ - revived 2nd gen market
SNSD - Nation's girl's group who caused influx of GG's with large amount of members
BIGBANG - Huge relevance in Korea after 10 years.
BTS - Biggest kpop group worldwide
BLACKPINK - Biggest kpop GG worldwide

The SES, Fin.K.L. and Baby Vox are the only three group I actively have listen to and watched their MVs now and then. A bit nostaltic 90ies/early 20ies sound about them that are very similar to the western music at the time. I also know or regonize MILK and Jewelery because I have sometimes heard about them also listen to some of their songs, but not at the same level as SES and Fin.K.L.
1st gen is the best gen, westernized or not. I don't care what anyone says.

This is my first time hearing about Heat and Luv. You're a bigger 1st gen fan than me.

forums is generally a 2000's thing. I guess it continued to be popular at least in the kpop world due to the hallyu.

The Korean music industry gathered for a press conference to discuss slave contracts a few months after H.O.T's disbandment in 2001 (Can't find the article, though).

Sechskies. They were overworked and released 4 albums in a 24 month span, which was almost unheard of in the 90's

it's all good. I couldn't hold your jockstrap if we both made the same threads

Beatles are bigger. Give BTS 30 more years for everyone to remember them
