They made that catchy early 2000's kpop music that can be easily hummed to. I'll always cherish their one and only album.

Wait...what do you mean by flop, mid-tier and top-tier groups? Are you talking about groups from bigger companies or is this completely a subjective (opinionated) thing?
flops = no one's ever heard of
mid-tier = groups that are flops in korea but popular overseas
top tier = top tier in korea with or without overseas popularity

Lee Sooman has been boasting about China since he promoted H.O.T there in 2000. there has to be something to gain.

Actually, it's touring that generates the most income for artists if we are discussing music income.
Here's an article that broke it down but it's from 2018: https://www.businessinsider.co…s%20in%20the%20same%20way.
"Of their total earnings, about 95%, or $52 million, came from touring, while less than 4% came from streaming and album sales. Garth Brooks (who came in second on the list), owed about 89% of his earnings to touring, while Metallica (ranked third) raked in 71% of their earnings in the same way."
alright, got it.

they don't know because they don't wanna know. some groups popularity can be gauged based on photos and videos even if they weren't there to live it

I thought Korean popularity was the drag. Nevermind.

My guess is Fly To The Sky. I didn't know they were huge in their 15th year

the 90's had Seo Taiji, Kim Gunmo, Jo Sungmo and the 2000's had Kim Jongkook and SG Wannabe

it's always a mystery to me becuz H.O.T sold millions and most if not all of their fans were teenagers. I guess they had supportive parents or they just had part time jobs after school.
