Why do people underestimate top tier groups?

Wait...what do you mean by flop, mid-tier and top-tier groups? Are you talking about groups from bigger companies or is this completely a subjective (opinionated) thing?
flops = no one's ever heard of
mid-tier = groups that are flops in korea but popular overseas
top tier = top tier in korea with or without overseas popularity

they're not underestimating, they're just in straight up denial and gaslighting themselves by convincing themselves that they're flopping hard to feed their stupid success stan ass

because as I've previous said there are different definitions of flop to different people
one of the definitions is when a certain group doesn't do as well as they've done previously (for example haven't sold as well or charted as high as their previous song(s)
and for top tier groups it is more amplified because they are top tier and thus they have more spotlight on them both positive and negative
