This is correct. A korean program from 2014 that showed SM group's peaks can attest to that.

I'm in the minority, but 1st gen. The hairstyles and wardrobe were flamboyant especially when it came to soloists like Lee Junghyun.

The NGG title was in fact made for SNSD, which has commonly been misattributed to S.E.S who were called Nation's Fairies (had to mention them just to clear things up)

Fandom is a pretty legit argument if we go back to the genesis of kpop. I guess snsd is the exception to the rule

It's okay. I've seen every SM group in history get dragged no matter how successful they were.

I know about M.I.L.K and have their 1st and only album, but I didn't really pay attention to the members. That's on me, though.

That was a nice medley of their classic hits. I was waiting for Kan Miyoun to rock those cool hairstyles from 1999, but I realize it's 2025.

I've been away from kpop for a minute, so I can't comment on New Jeans although it seems they're highly influential.

H.O.T. - every kpop fan more or less has heard of Candy

TVXQ - revived 2nd gen market

SNSD - Nation's girl's group who caused influx of GG's with large amount of members

BIGBANG - Huge relevance in Korea after 10 years.

BTS - Biggest kpop group worldwide

BLACKPINK - Biggest kpop GG worldwide
