Have SNSD release a song, it charts high, everybody raves how good it is etc then a few days later reveal it was actually Twices song all along.

Well not a single gg can beat SNSD simply because the general public lost interest in k-pop hell even Sistar has more relevancy with gp than twice, the 3rd gen saw a bigger following internationally but they lost the Korean appeal but honestly who cares about this money is mostly within i-fans

Twice gave enough to the Korean public, they spent 4 years working and promoting 24/7 to get their name out there, they’ve done enough.

Gallup favorites rankings show that Wonder Girls peaked at 28.2%, SNSD peaked at 31.5%, Sistar at 10.8%, TWICE at 11% and Blackpink at 13.6%.

Wonder Girls had 2 years above 20% popularity with the public, SNSD 3 years. After them, no other girl group.

K-pop companies clearly don't focus on the Korean public anymore like they did in 2nd gen era, when idols from all top groups were heavily present in all sorts of variety programs.

With the attention of K-pop companies and their groups directed to the west, the only way a new girl group will surpass WG's and SNSD's popularity peaks with the Korean public, is if you have the gg equivalent of BTS happening.
