I don't like it as much as Dream Of You, but I'm sure it's going to do what it needs to do.
K-Pop songs in English are hit and miss for me. Chungha has fluent pronunciation which is good, but I would prefer to hear lines like "You like it when I ride it" in Korean. English removes the romance of the lyrics, and then it's just yet another basic pop song about fucking... I don't need to go to K-Pop for that

I think maybe she wanted to keep it quiet until G-Idle was at a certain level. Netziens can be very weird about stuff. She probably wanted to keep her distance until that "Did you know she was kicked out of YG for - " stuff couldn't come back again if she was associated with a BP member.
Or maybe they reconnected recently, which would be nice too.
Miyeon isn't "trying" to be friends with Lisa, there are pics of them out socializing as a pair in their YG trainee days, they were friends then and they're friends now.
I think because of those fake rumours about why Miyeon left YGE she kept her Blackpink friendships low profile, but now G-Idle is successful enough that she doesn't need to worry about that stuff anymore.
Having eyes in your head does not equate to losing it. It's embarrassing that JYP would let Dahyun wear a cheap knock-off of one of the HYLT hanboks. They deserve better than this, they are always having to rise above their shameful cheaparse boss. He puts them in cheap shit, and it's played off as charming. Can't they at least hire a stylist who consistently has access to impressive clothing?
It's been overblown in K-Pop western fandoms because it's such irresistible fanwar fodder - though it usually backfires when the other fanbase can produce similar pics of their faves.
That's what makes CA stuff really icky in K-Pop. Denounce someone for twists in June, rapidly back-pedal when your own fave does it the month after. There's not much sense that anyone actually cares, it's being used as a tool, which is offensive in itself.
Arguably it may also be a little bit ignorant to expect non English speakers from a different continent with a different history and culture to be at the exact same place politically as 14 year old twitter/tumblr-addict Bethany from London/LA.

I found it a bit visually jarring that for the interview they had 50% of the group ready for the nightclub and the other 50% ready for the office, but it was just an interview. They probably didn't put much thought into it.
Sad thing is, it was all started because of a fanwar orchestrated in summer 2018 by a few twitter I-Army's with large following who decided to be outraged by YG mentioning BTS in a Blackpink press release, and their outrage was then compounded by DDDD doing very well. Unfortunately it coincided with a massive influx of new international Army's and Blinks who took the twitter fighting as gospel and just accepted that they must hate one if they liked the other!
For Blackpink's first two years Army's were probably the most supportive existing fanbase in K-Pop (Many YG stans were chilly because of 2NE1). It's sad how a few loudmouths on twitter managed to infect countless gullible baby stans with their hate...
