Big3 companies - presumably Big Hit too - have no trainee debt, which is a huge thing for people without money. Some idols debut with smaller companies, work their guts out for years, and then leave having made almost nothing or even still in debt to their company.
I don't know SM and JYP much but I know that YG trainees get free training, free housing, subsidized cafeteria, and even an allowance. Also YG is generous in profit splits with the artists. Who wouldn't want that set up? It's why YG was still landing high profile trainees like a TXT sibling even at the height of their 2019 drama.
But that's not about privilege, it's how things should be. That's far too much exploitation at some smaller companies. Unfortunately that's where most poor trainees will end up because the Big 3 get clogged up with chaebol kids and other rich kids.

LMM by Hwasa made me bawl my eyes out. Not just randomly, it was a really sad time in my life, but that song turned on the waterworks.

It's unfair to blame it on Blinks. It was 2NE1/YG stans who were hostile towards Blackpink at the beginning, for something which was nothing to do with them (a continuing theme in Blackpink's career).
And then YG took the odd decision to separate them out from all other groups, even as trainees, with next to no YG inter-group interaction. I always wonder why. Something must have happened. It gets blamed two ex YG trainees dating, but I think that's a red herring.
Anyway Blackpink have the biggest YG fandom now, and YG has attempted some things, like the Winner DDDD cover, but Blinks are way too twitchy and defensive at this point, and see it all as clout chasing.
Sadly, I think the cycle will continue with the YGNGG.

Cool. But if it had been Cry For Me I think it would still be charting. Anyways...

It is a fact that rich and connected kids have their own fast-track where the Big Three are concerned. Probably because of the way Korean society is constructed it's helpful for a business to have as many influential families - preferably chaebols - in their corner as possible. I'm not going to list names, but some of them are obvious once you start looking at skillsets and weak links. (That's not to say all rich kids are untalented. But some are just along for the ride.) And Seoul is not that big, so when Knetz say "this one debuted because her father is super powerful or his mother is super rich" 99% of the time they're correct.
When you say someone is a star or they're not, I've noticed that kids from a poor background who debut through the Big Three tend to be exceptional in some way, either in talent or beauty. But if you think every member of a Big Three group is at the same level you need to take your stan goggles off...

Agreed. And that black corset thing they put her in in Twice's most recent performance was horrible. It wasn't even pulled in at all, just slapped over her dress and it made her look really wide when she's probably tiny.
Styling a full girl group well (unless they're all in the same outfit) seems to be a constant stumbling block in K-Pop.

Her Korean styling team seem to do the bare minimum for her most of the time. Her hair is not in great condition still, so why not add some inserts for shine and volume? But no, combing it is enough
I liked everything apart from that. Be grateful for the MAC deal or she'd probably have been sent out in several variations of the "natural look" like last year.

Yo, winner gets 300k.
And this, since some people want to be salty.

I think it might have been Prada last winter that put Lisa on a lot of influential radars. (and Celine and Bvlgari). There were Vogue editors and prominent agents filming the pandemonium when she walked to her car. She was probably number one search item for the fashion world that day.
