Baby Dumbpster is doing fine. I was right with my concerns after all, if they can chart that high with the crappy they are releasing they will soon have a big hit. YG can sleep at night

I second this and add that never felt IVE was a competition for NJ in any way. This fear was always utterly and completely one sided
The group who I could see challenging NJ numbers was LSRF but barely
Even Baemon "scared" me more than IVE, and seen by their results so far I can say this is quite an statement

Who revived this thread
Anyway
IVE vs NJ is too 2022 for me. It's clear both groups are nowhere near the same level in Spotify streams. NJ "competition" (for lack of better word, read it "a group with comparable numbers") is ILLIT
IVE is pulling numbers bellow LSRF, G Idle and only 200k above Aespa. I don't see the point in engage in discussions like this. NJ songs from 2 years ago with close to 0 playlisting right now are still pulling 300k daily streams which is the level of the BEST title track of IVE. What point are you guys even trying to prove?

If Twice is in the ranking we can quickly rule this out as a meaningful metric for virals of any sort
-
I'm confused. Something happened?

Projected to debut around #99. Without the Beyonce songs could've been like #70.
This is incredible
A really historical debut

What consistency? Each case is different and particular. Lesserafim, a 2 years old group who is supposedly growing bigger each comeback had a 33% decrease of sales despite no having a major controversy like twice had with chaeyoung last year, they totally fill the criteria for the curse. You still thinking that this is solely about chinese sales despite I explaining several times that is not just tell me you are ignorant about the whole thing.
It's 27% if we count the same window you used for Twice (6 weeks)
Otherwise it's a 30% decrease for LSRF and 25% for TWICE
Both groups have had a similar share of decrease in sales. For some unknown reason you call LSRF fraudulent, but TWICE not. The math is not mathing
The only reason why I keep entertaining your thread is because I amuse myself with all the mental gymnastics you and your kind come with to move the goalposts in every circumstances because you guys don't accept Twice numbers are being slowly demolished by newer groups

Genuinely laughing my ass off at all the morons who were talking that this thread was incorrect, like you clowns won't learn about charts no matter what
With Youth
Week 1: 1019516
Week 2: 152055
Week 3: 25879
Week 4: 26843
Week 5: 26050
Week 6: 5148
Total: 1255491
Ready to Be:
Week 1: 1427039
Week 2: 21504
Week 3: 59620
Week 4: 22985
Week 5: 2453
Week 6: 93000
Total: 1626601
Just loud and dumb all of you, not only because a 20% decrease of sales is completely normal on kpop but jyp can perfectly ship a considerable amount of albums in the upcoming weeks, it took months for them to ship the 1.7M of pre orders for ready to be.
Just after ready to be a twice member got in one of the worst controversies on the industry with half of kpop sending death threats and bashing twice for months, like these numbers are completely normal, not even close to the groups losing half their sales overnight.
LSRF decreased 27% and you still called their sales fraudulent, even though their Chinese sales never accounted for even 10% of their total pre orders
You're a clown. If you want to pick a narrative at least be consistent

But it could explain why they are doing so well on Spotify, they count it the moment the music starts playing.

Show me at least one example of this

Because it's one of the leading platforms in the world, where it's kind of difficult to manipulate streams
It's the easiest one to manipulate streams when even nugu level korean companies with barely any income are able to buy dozens of millions of views to their groups

It's not good, it's average. It's less than the first day sales of Aespa, NewJeans, LSRF, ILLIT and Kep1er. I think it's slightly better than IVE
Although in this case should give them at least a week to see if it's a case of delaying shipments. First day sales are never truly representative
Nmixx have sold only 20k on first day and did 220k in a week
Baemon can end with either the highest first week sales or the lowest first week sales from any major girlgroup since Itzy
