My theory is it was actually supposed to be released in 2020

then they should at least release it in the fall, why would anyone release a ballad in the summer

it's gonna tank so hard and I'm already mad at all the BTS are flops threads we're gonna see when they would SMASH it with a normal album/normal single

Bcos it’s their art and their song? And they can release it whenever they want. Why are you so sure it will flop? The song has not even been released yet. Even if it did, so what? if they want to release it let them do it without being so fking concerned about its chart performance.

I got into them bc of their music

it's actually more fun stanning flops cause there's no expectations and no haters

but this is THE BTS. Everyone's gonna have their hot takes ready as to how they're over. I've already resigned myself that Mots:7 is gonna be their commercial peak but they could easily outdo that, they just...won't. That's what makes it frustrating. I feel like Hybe is treating them exactly like SM did EXO post-15 where they just don't really care anymore about legacy and top status and just use the established group to bring in the cash to finance their new projects. Makes sense from a business perspective but from a fan perspective it's frustrating cause BTS could go even farther.

say what you will about YG but they understand that marketing is as important in K-Pop as profit. They know exactly what kind of songs to release when, how to create hype, how the illusion of success can be even more important than the reality of it. Hybe is almost exclusively profit-oriented it seems, which is pretty short-sighted in the entertainment industry.

If you spent more time in BTS threads talking about cb instead of in threads for complaining association maybe you would have noticed the hype.
