Ooh good question. I think a lot of them would just stay Army's and support the members individually.
I think the fanbase needs a rags to riches story so other HYBE groups are out of luck. Seventeen has that though and arguably more than BTS, but I think the 13 members is too much for people who are used to stanning 7. Maybe Ateez if they were willing to really emphasize how tough they've had it and start go live for 2-3 hours a day...

Trainee a will gain the most. They have alot of things going for them. They are a hip-hop group with strong dance line which is what armys stan bts for. They will be fresh new faces so armys will find them easier to stan. Hybe is being smart in this situation. They are giving bts cheesy pop songs. That makes alot of fans lose interest in bts and look for other hybe groups. They are also reserving trainee a till bts members start enlisting. They will unleash them when armys are most eager for new music. Hip hop music particularly. Enhypen and txt will be 2nd biggest winners. Then stray kids, ateez, nct.
oh, you're that anon
A lot of armys who liked BTS' hip-hop sound have already left the fandom for, or at least began primarily focusing on groups closer to their tastes. Even in 4th gen, hip-hop is not an empty niche. For those who the sound change wasn't a dealbreaker, a group with a hip-hop sound is obviously not that important of a factor for stanning. Those who liked BTS' hip-hop heavier sound better, yet still only stan them, usually because they're unwilling to stan groups other than BTS, are unlikely to be suddenly convinced by Trainee A. And hybe stans will stan anyone regardless of sound.

success stans will go to BP because that's the only other group that they can flex achievements on the west with
btspoppers will just leave kpop and (hopefully) focus on their own lives
multis will go to their respective groups
hybe stans will continue worshipping hybe and stanning every group under that company

- Armymultis (including hybe stans) would stay with their remaining faves.
- The portion of army that only stan BTS and are willing to get into a new group are unpredictable. People who like their current music direction, those who don't, people who would be mad at hybe and those that wouldn't, those who are success stans and those who aren't etc. could all go in different directions.
Overall the biggest benefits would go to the fandoms the most armymultis in the fandom.

And what makes you think every army is like you personally? I've seen plenty of kpop stans claiming they are done with kpop after their faves went on hiatus or disbanded but they still stay
So many sones were claiming snsd or nothing yet so many turned unto reveluvs or onces later. Blackjacks hated bp at first but majority became blinks anyway. Look at exo ls and nct.
You guys are not special. Yes, many would lose interest in kpop completely, but many would stay and find other groups to follow whether you admit it or not.
because majority of army don't even know/follow kpop, like AT ALL. i don't mean this in a condescending tone, but a lot of them aren't in the stan culture at all & bts are an anomaly in their usual life. I've been an army for 5 years & only joined twt/akp 2 years ago & i didn't know shit about kpop (negative or positive). i know a lot of irl army & older army that are that way too. why do you think bts' numbers are miles and miles ahead of any other kpop group? it's bc most of the fans aren't into kpop anyway. so when bts disbands, it's not even that they will "get out of kpop" since they were never into that sfere in the first place, not knowingly at least.
i don't know if i made a lot of sense bc felt like i kept talking in circles. but yeah, biggest part of armys (both the non kpop armys + the "i know kpop & hate it" armys) will go back to their normal local life probably rewatching bts content and the smaller kpop part will either join their other ults' fandom or join new groups if they weren't multis before (ofc even a smaller part of bts fandom would be a huge amoun). i don't think that last group of armys would join an existing group bc they would have joined them before bts disbanded already?

I've seen way too many ARMY interested in Kdramas. Considering how Kdramas and Kpop correspond each other from time to time, I doubt they will go back to being a local completely. Not interested in Kpop anymore? likely. But they aren't leaving the kpop bubble so soon. We still get to see annoying ass 2nd gen stans till this date, who claim they only stan their one and only superior fave.
Trust me, it's gonna be 2nd gen all over again but in a much bigger scale.

i'm not denying that many army like kpop/kdrama's (army fandom is immense, so completely believe you)? those people will probably not go back to being locals either, no matter what they are saying now. again, not denying that. But you asked where all army would go to & i'm just saying the majority/a big BIG part just isn't in that world at all, not before or after bts, bc they never got in contact with it. a large part of bts' fandom is also 30y+ & while some of them may be into stan culture, a lot of them are just locals. that's all i'm saying.
in the end, we'll only know when bts disbands & i don't think that's gonna be soon. we may see an influx to other groups when/if they enlist, but it will still be only a small part i think.

I can't tell if you are being serious or just messing with me.
How does majority of army not know/follow kpop, when that's excatly what they do when they are following bts and calling themselves army? People aren't born kpop fans you know, everyone discovered it at some point of their lives
Stanning takes a lot of time and emotional investment so majority of stans seek replacement if their faves disbands, especially if it's out of the blue. I was simply asking what group would most likely benefit from this hypothetical situation. It's really not that deep
Many people understood the op and stayed on topic

I think people underestimate how massive army are. They are huge & the biggest fandom online & people might see more and more army online jumping ship to other hybe/kpop groups, but most of their fandom isn't even online. They have a massive 30y+ fandom & others that aren't into stan culture at all. So maybe a smaller part would migrate to other groups, but most of them would just be locals again & probably go back to passively enjoying music/go through bts' discography/... (I know i'll be doing that)
I agree. The majority of BTS listeners are either casual fans, casual listeners, or the GP. Most of them don't care about Kpop or even know other groups. Of course, there are existing multis and kpop fans who also listen to BTS, but they are the minority.
So if BTS disbands now, those people still don't matter to the Kpop industry since they almost exclusively listen to BTS (except for some multis & already kpop fans). BTS brought a whole new audience to Kpop ever since their global domination. But the majority of them, either found different groups to stan and/or multis. So, like I said don't matter this topic. Since they already listen to Kpop.
Also, you're right about people overestimating armys/hardcore fans of BTS. And it's because they have a strong social media presence & are very loud on Twitter. People should also consider BTS's popularity, so it's understandable why they have the most core fans compared to other groups. Besides, armys on Twitter are very performative and loud it's hard to ignore them. They are also militant and organized. Atleast, I'll give credits to them when it comes to voting & such. But still, they are the very MI NORITY.

Hey!!! I’m here and still bts fan
I cannot speak for other fans but in my experience it’s just not about hiphop sounding music or dance , bc if it was only that I’d be way more into skz (example) that also have this same thing going on for them. I really doubt I could see the same sincerity bts have (or had in the moment their stuff first interested me) in those newer groups, or the same delivery.. It’s difficult to put in words but BTS journey through music was very sincere in ways I can’t see Hybe or Bighit ever giving the chance for newer groups again.
