How did they get their achievements without any hit songs?

In kpop they are known for their hits songs and these songs trespassed kpop and bc they were having so many achievements now we have both cases. I'll give an example: when BTS did their stadium tour here in Brazil, my father doesn't really know kpop, but he saw BTS on a national TV and what he watched was the reporter talking about BTS achievements, hence, my father knew their achievements first and just later he listened to some BTS songs.

Non-ARMYs don’t keep up with BTS’ achievements but they will definitely explain why or why not they liked a BTS song. I think the phrase famous for being famous was made for socialites, people who are well known for being social. Being known for achieving things from you’re line of work should be different.

Their achievements sometimes overshadow their hits. People know BTS are huge huge but it seems like people still think they don’t have hits and their hits have no impact it happened many times on AKP even in anon there is thread where people still question if they are digimon or not

No. Music, lyrics and performances is what made BTS big, it's what they are known for. I as a fan won't be able to name you their exact achievements without searching for it except for very general facts like that they got #1 on bb200 and hot100 and also got daesang sweep but I can discuss their best and worst songs and performances right on the spot and I am pretty sure majority of fans are like me.
