Do you think it was a wrong decision for Chaeyeon to take part in SWF?

Don't think it has really a negative impact. The issue now is that she is being dungeoned by WM, which is why she isn't mentioned.
But we all know she is still the best

Is she even with WM anymore? Weren't there rumors of her leaving? WM is not debuting any group and i don't think they are interested in debuting her solo either.

She's still one of the best gg dancer.Any other idols who join will prob experience the same thing. The professional dancers are just in another league compared to idol dancers altho idol dancers are still good
Yeah it makes no sense to not include her as a top dancer among idols. But i feel that her main strength being dance exposed the idol dancer weakness when compared to professionals in swf. That kinda hinders her?

Tbh I don't know also because there wasn't any confirmation

She is definitely the one who is jobless among izone girls unless she is cooking up something in secret
-
it was kinda pointless tbh. She should debut asap, not go to some show that kinda made her look bad

Idk much about the competition between 4th gen idol dancers so I won’t talk about that, but i have to admit that from the few clips i’ve watched of swf, chaeyeon does stick out a bit amongst the professionals and not in a good way. I mean she’s not bad obviously; it’s just that when the rest of the performers are almost all at a certain level of skills, anything even slightly below them naturally becomes apparent, and your shortcomings as a non-pro dancer get highlighted whether you want it to or not.
Also this is a personal preference, but after studying in close details a few izone dance practice videos, i have to confess that even in izone chaeyeon wasn’t the member i enjoyed watching dance the most (there have been some instances where she was kinda lazy at executing the moves properly, or even got the moves wrong), so yeah..

That could be because u found some other member more charismatic and enjoy watching them perform more. I guess on a technical level chaeyeon is the best.

i know that technically chaeyeon is the best obvs, it’s just that in the videos i watched she didn’t bring her all 100% of the time (which i’d already explained in the brackets in my previous post), so the level of her skills is kinda irrelevant there if she doesn’t show it lol

She hasn't officially debut but she made money as a Trainee, not to mention got screen time
-
The thing is she is not a trainee. Idk where I read it but the moment she debut in iz*one she already in an artist contract . If it's 5 years we will see what happens next year.

Overall I would say it was not a wrong decision. I don't think she is decent enough singer to go solo. If I was WM, I would make an idol group with her and other older trainees like her. Like Viviz debubted after Gfriend disbanded. And go for a sexy concept which is missing in 3rd and 4th gen groups.

yes, before that everyone thought she was an amazing dancer
after that, she was "average IDOL dancer"
compiting with pro dancers undermined her status
-
She is being inactive for too long. people will slowly forget her if she doesn't get idol work asap
-
Honestly, I don't know.
Idols get shitted on all the time for their skills in some area (from some video or performance or whatever), but the public doesn't care as much about that as they do with just releasing good music.
Only people who may have cared are keyboardwarrior KPOP fans, but I don't think it would have hindered the GP from enjoying her if she put out a song they liked. In the end, that trumps everything.
Her being inactive probably caused more harm that the show. Especially with everyone else like debuting solo and in groups. All of them are benefiting from IZ*ONE's hype while Chaeyeon's future is still unknown.
The show would have been a great opportunity for her to be a breakout public figure (like Noze), but given that the GP already have a certain image of idols, it probably hurt her in the sense she will have to work harder to be respected and seen as an artist rather than strictly as an idol. But, I don't think it hurt her opportunities to have a overall successful career.
