Just like being embarrassed of yourself over anything u do?
Is it normal to be overly embarrassed?
-
-
Yep nothing wrong with it. One of natural instances
-
Every day of my LIFE is embarrassing! eventually, you just get used to embarrassing yourself! just take pride in it.
-
It's normal, but not good.

Ignoring the thoughts of others and stopping judging yourself is a good start.
Not easy tho.
-
It is usually caused by how you were raised by your parents.
If parents were overly negative and judgmental of your silly actions as a kid, it's harder to be yourself when you are older.
One way to avoid it is to imagine if your friend did what you did. Would you still finding it embarrassing?
Also try to remember what is the last embarrassing action you remember from your friends? You quickly realize you don't remember much. We often judge ourselves harsher than other people.

hmm, might be you're overly self conscious. It happens but it's something you need to work on
yeah, it gonna take a long time to fix

I'm generally an awkward person in public so it's normal for me to be embarrassed.
-
depends on what it is you're embarrassed about my friend
is it your body/height/weight/looks???
like for me I'm below average for a dude and when I was younger I was embarrassed and conscientious of my height but as I grew up I was like there's now nothing I can do about it so might as well own it and move on
focus on the positive things about yourself instead of all the negative ones...

it is not normal according to an idealistic model of the world
but its firmly in the domain of "way too common"
often when I'm spaced out, my brain goes back and chews through all the things I do and what I could have done better...

and look my friend we are sometimes our worst enemy - we compare ourselves to gorgeous celebrities or idols or just the pretty people at school or on the streets and wish that we weren't ourselves or that we could be someone else
I understand that feeling since I was like that when I was younger as a kid I had suicidal thoughts because of the bullying and whatnot and my thoughts were probably similar to yours...existence is futile???? I'm not sure whether yours are as extereme lol
I got over it as I got older and I'm not sure how old you are my friend so I cannot say if you will get over those thoughts but if you're having them constantly and it's impacting your daily life whether at work or school or interactions with friends/family then maybe it's time to seek some professional help
look on the bright side - you have aesthetics I don't - that's a win for you!!!! lol

Whenever something embarrassing happens to me, I lie awake all night, worrying that everyone who was there is now thinking about what an idiot I am too.
I even grow randomly flustered when I remember an embarrassing moment months or years later... I never forget or get over it.
Same here, it hard to move on from it
-
Oh, I'm embarrassed by literally everything I do and how I do it!
-
Could be high anxiety
