why do people care so much about bullying rumours

  • this goes to both people who get hyper defensive and hyper aggressive

no one knows if they are true or false and no one ever will because no matter what, the accuser has everything to lose and will probably back off against the law or money

    but

    who

    the fuck

    cares

who cares if they stole a pen or drew dicks on the board or hung out with degenerates or made someone feel unwanted or whatever these people come up with

those are petty things teenagers in every school around the world do and all of those are experience that make people grow

no more penis memes tho :-(

  • I really don't think people understand the true definition of a bully

Bullying is an ongoing and deliberate misuse of power in relationships through repeated verbal, physical and/or social behavior that intends to cause physical, social and/or psychological harm. It can involve an individual or a group misusing their power, or perceived power, over one or more persons who feel unable to stop it from happening.

Bullying can happen in person or online, via various digital platforms and devices and it can be obvious (overt) or hidden (covert). Bullying behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time (for example, through sharing of digital records).

Bullying of any form or for any reason can have immediate, medium and long-term effects on those involved, including bystanders.

Single incidents and conflict or fights between equals, whether in person or online, are not defined as bullying.

    What bullying is not

single episodes of social rejection or dislike

single episode acts of nastiness or spite

random acts of aggression or intimidation

    mutual arguments, disagreements or fights.

These actions can cause great distress. However, they do not fit the definition of bullying and they’re not examples of bullying unless someone is deliberately and repeatedly doing them.

People seriously need to stop accusing every little thing someone does as "bullying".

  • I dunno - I care more about how someone acts and comports themselves in the here and now, but then again I'm also one of those people that don't see the point in holding eternal grudges. If you've changed, you've changed. If you haven't, then I still won't give you the time of day, but you can do you somewhere away from me, I don't care. Very easy. The only time I would actively take a stand against it is if they are harming someone in the present.

  • so it really depends. there's a fine line between bullying and the ridiculous teen stuff that happens that people call "bullying"

most of this lesserafim stuff isn't even in the realm of what many others have experienced and maybe the victims are right, but why didn't they try to punish the members before they got famous? if what they did was so bad, why not punish them then? why not take that picture and show it to the school sooner?

    it's interesting.

  • This is a very good distinction. Thanks for calling it out

  • some like to be opportunistic and blow it out of proportion so they can demonize them

some maybe were bullied in the past or have witnessed it so it hits on a personal level

some go on the defensive since its their faves

I think KPOP has trivialized bullying in general thanks to kpop stan behavior and false accusations.

Personally, I am more in the innocent until proven guilty. If anything kpop has pushed me into that direction due to all the false accusations and annoying stans.

  • that's not a fine line that's a big fat road

    and sorry that happened
