I know that it's just a game yet I think you guys deserve an apology.
Last night, I was supposed to be hosting a game on the Discord server that I've been planning for about a week now. It was supposed to be fun but I messed up to the point where we were even unable to actually start the game.
I wasn't able to get on my computer last night where it had all the files and I made sure to save them to a Google Doc just in case. What I didn't realize is that I was unable to download the files from the Google document to my phone which ultimately became a problem. I should've tested it prior to the event and that was my fault for not doing so. I couldn't get these files to show for the participants who were present last night so I started panicking. Maybe I overreacted in the moment, it would've been better for me to handle the situation in a calmer matter instead of just starting to freak out. But I didn't and I kept feeling like I ended up leaving people to start worrying about me.
I didn't mean to act so unprofessionally despite my worry and frustration but it just sort of happened. I apologize for that and I apologize for arriving late and for things not going as planned.
I hope that this doesn't change how you feel about me doing my job here. I may be young and active here but I still have a lot to deal with. Thank you.
If you don't want to play again or don't want to participate this time, that's understandable. For those that do, I'm likely to host the same game at the same time (9:00 PM CST) this Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, whichever works for you and for the Discord events team. I plan to be more prepared this time and instead of putting everything on a doc, I'll put it in a place where I'll be able to access both on my phone and my PC when needed.
Thank you! Have a great rest of your day.
