I practiced kickboxing since I was in highschool and that one time a guy tried to mug me it came in so handy

But in all honesty, I haven't gone to any self-def classes. I don't see much use for it so long as you have common sense and remain calm.

I want to, and a friend of mine who works at a dojo offered to teach me whenever I'm ready. I never did though, much like how I avoid the gym...
