Billlie has one of the most interesting music I've listened to in a while

  • So I love songs that sound cute/fun and weird/eerie/fantasy-like at the same time, it's perfection and totally my type of music.

I was on a search for this kind of sound around 4th gen GGs (GWSN does it really well!) and then I found BILLLIE.

I confess I didn't have any interest in the group before THESE appeared on my Spotify:

When I think a song is REALLY interesting, I don't get hyped, I just listen to the song like this:

    ezgif.com-gif-maker (3).gif

After listening to these songs I started diving into their short yet impressive discography.

I knew nothing about the group aside from that famous fancam from TSUKI (that was my first contact with Billlie).

Then I found out that basically most of their songs sound fun like this and WOW! I LOVE IT ALREADY!

I hope they'll keep with their peculiar sound, 'cause I'm all for it!

  • I wasn't a fan of Ring x Ring when it came out so I didn't check out their music, but then YouTube kept pushing the flipp!ng a coin video on me and I loved it. Their B sides in particular are so strong. There are so many layers to their music (like Ring x Ring using Carol of the Bells is genius) and I love the jazzy influence they have.

Also I'm gonna have to break down and check out GWSN :eyes:

their latest album The Other Side Of The Moon is a great start. Very good imo!

  • yes billlie appreciation! ring x ring, no, the entire debut ep was a masterpiece, and i love this eerie yet youthful sound they've got going on!

speaking of eerie yet youthful, this vibe (not the actual sound of the music, rather, the feel) reminds me a lot of f(x). i'm a newer kpop fan, so it's only very recently that i've got into f(x) but i love their music to bits.

yeah, i was going to mention f(x) for a reference 'cause I feel the same.

  • Welcome to the strange world my friend...

for me, the ones that hooked me was the magical feeling of Moon Palace,

and whatever the heck with The Rumor is...

It's filled with plots, literally an exposition, dialogue and monologue.

but at the same time, It's still sing-able

EVEN THE "BILLLIE LOVE" HERSELF GAVE A RESPOND.

  • :OO

I listened to The Rumor while reading the lyrics cause I thought it was extremely ironic after Tsuki's fancam (That's her nanananana For real? nanananana)

But I didn't get any of that "exposition, dialogue, monologue"

Actually I thought it was kinda boring/basic as a song
