I honestly can't imagine Itzy without Yuna...at all. I feel that Somi would fit their concepts but...she's simply is better as a soloist.

I couldn't imagine StayC without J or Sieun either.

Not really on topic but I don't see Mako being in ITZY. ITZY debuted in 2019 but they said they had been basically put together about 6 months before their debut. That means around Oct 2018 and Mako had just joined JYPE in 2018. That is a very short amount of time and pre-debut dancing video's shows she wasn't as good as she became later on. All of this leads me to think she wasn't primed for ITZY but for a follow on group. All the ones you mention though I agree with you on NMIXX.

I think Yuna A might have possibly been included as she was an okay rapper.

If we're talking about idols that used to be in JYP but left, I'd include Mashiro. Since she didn't make it into ITZY, but would have definitely made it here.

If we're talking about trainees that could have made it, there's Ahn Yuna that was in the Nizi Project.

Funny how people were mad Yuna wasn't in NMIXX until they actually debuted.

And, I don't know about the NIZIU girlies. From what I remember, JYPE announced they were going to debut 2 Korean girl groups and 1 Japanese group before ITZY even debuted. This was in like 2018, so I think any Japanese female trainees at that time were already being primed for NIZIU.

which raises an interesting question since if Somi had debuted in Itzy then one would assume Yuna wouldn't have debuted in Itzy thus Yuna would have been in Nmixx???
