Examples of songs that combine disparate styles/genres? Which do you think work vs which don't?

  • Here's one that I love that I think works.

Here's one that is literally a combination of two different songs and I love this more than either of the source songs.

Here's one that I'm iffy on. I actually love both halves of this song, but wish they were two different songs, cuz I find the switch up jarring.

  • no way =O=O

    this is a masterpiece!!

I think that it's that I love the first part sooooo much and I'm just lolled into a sense of serenity with how beautiful and peaceful it is and then BAM, totally different vibe. Don't get me wrong, I love the other part too. I just wish that sometimes I could just be peaceful and have the first part as a whole song. Maybe something like how One + Infinity has both parts as individual songs and then the combination as a third song.

  • not really kpop butttt

  • Reggae and electro! Or reggae and EDM! It works because it just works, and EXO made it work! It's chill due to the reggae and upbeat due to the EDM. That's a really nice and interesting combo.
