twice still have higher recognition and overall people who listen to them, I'm talking about the hardcore ones who are going to vote for you in awards and stuff + mass stream

I think they have the biggest domestic fanbase for a 4th Gen girl group now that IZ*ONE are gone. Queendom helped them alot in this regard, as I remember HWAA climbing up the charts really quickly too. Hype from it being their first comeback in a while helped too.
Notably very different from the likes of STAYC or ITZY who usually need to promote for a few days to start climbing up the charts.
Always when songs do well on charts forums always talk about wild theories or secrets to success... Can't it just be that Korean Gp likes the song...
People should not underestimate members' individual popularity. Miyeon is already very well known and has her own fanbase, same goes to Soyeon who is more known to general public. Yuqi was already very popular since debut. Minnie did a lot of solo work (alongside other members) during their hiatus. Tbh their 1 year hiatus was just like YG STRATEGY for Blackpink. Not having comeback but individual activities to boost hype.
