It's not that they should stick with having one bg, but Stray Kids aren't even 3 years old yet and the project is supposed to begin in the same month as SKZ's first comeback after Kingdom. I think it could be an unnecessary distraction for those who would get into SKZ then, and the new group could also have issues gaining attention. Waiting a bit might be worth it on the long run.
