Changed the title of the thread from “Your IVE Comeback predictions?” to “Can IVE outdo ELEVEN?”. -
It will be a challenge but I believe they can.
Hopefully they didn't peak too much in their debut

That’s what I’m scared of too! I think it’ll be fine if they don’t outdo eleven but I’d hate to see them peak with eleven

I feel like Eleven stayed fresh sounding for quite a while and coupled with the lack of buzzy releases over the holidays helped it pick up a lot of stream, so I think their two biggest sticking points are going to be choosing a good follow up song and threading the needle on a release date to miss bigger groups (especially now that Blackpink and BTS are both rumored to be have comebacks within the next couple of months.)

Well the second one is already a goner since they are rumored to come back in mid-April
. But who knows, maybe the need Song will be good? -

Personally I think its hard, but its not impossible

Hard but not impossible. I think outside of girls from the big 3, Wonyoung seems like she is going to be a signature It-Girl of this gen (Suzy, YoonA, Jennie, Irene, etc.) so her popularity should hopefully continue to boost them.
If starship is smart, they won't deviate from the sound/style of Eleven too much. I think it did a good job of showcasing their skills. Clean choreo, decent vocals, "expensive" looking styling and visuals. I think that works for them. Just hope the girls who haven't been in the spotlight much get a better showcase of their talents, too.
We know Wonyoung and Yujin had their popularity carry over from IZ*ONE so hopefully the other members can gain a large following, too.

Yes they can

IVE's debut was absolutely amazing and so were their results, but I definitely feel like they can do even better because it still feels like we haven't seen nearly as much.
-Rei only got a short line of rap which didn't really get to show off her rap skills, on top of that she's also a good vocalist but we didn't really get to hear her sing that much.
-Gaeul? Don't even get me started. She had like one line through out the whole song, and we really didn't see anything from her at all. Plus, she's supposed to be one of the main dancers, and again, didn't really get to explore that either.
-Leesoo is also a good vocalist, and did get a decent amount of lines but still feels like we have yet to really hear her.
-As for Liz, Yujin, and Wonyoung, the song was good but I also want to hear more.
-more dance, a stronger choreography, more vocals, singing from different members like Rei and Leesoo, more rap, Rei and Gaeul..... Just more, more, more.
It's like for their debut what IVE gave us was only the appetizer (and somehow that appetizer went above and beyond when it wasn't even the main dish). And THAT'S why I can confidently say I can see IVE doing even better with their next comeback.
It's just up to Starship to choose the right song once again.
